See the green house with all the gingerbread trim and a red roof with an ornamental widow's walk? That's Magnolia Hall, named for the huge magnolia tree shading the wicker swing and cushioned rockers. That smell? Well, it may be the scent of four o'clocks, or the tea olive or magnolia blossoms. Do come in, unless you would prefer to have your lemonade and tea cookies out here. Antique filled rooms, original heart pine floors, soaring ceilings, and soothing music make your stay unforgetable. You may wish to just watch the birds feeding from the feeder on the cluster birch,just feet away. The swing, suspended by springs, is the favorite. Take your drinks and cookies with you. Help yourself to more from the kitchen.Coffee, decaf, tea, and orange juice is always available one hour before a sumptuous gourmet breakfast. Enjoy your meal served on china and silver by candlelight.
The magnificient Eastlake bed in the Walton Room has been converted to Queensize.The pillow top mattress takes all the credit for an excellent nights sleep. To the left is the largest shower with bench in the house. It was the result of an extra hallway we didn't need. Enjoy a "rainshower" when time to clean up.Carries Corner is the most requested downstairs room. A large walk-in dressing room and closet is perfect for those staying for days. One doesn't need to live out of a suitcase. A very private place in the corner of the home.
