Appleton's is a wonderful B&B, where the owners, Malcolm & Edward, are excellent hosts. The bed was comfy, the bathroom clean (with very good shower), and the food at both breakfast and dinner was excellent. The house is set in lovely gardens and a dip in the pool is a perfect way to cool off after a day in the sun. We'll definitely be back... D&L, London.

We thought, we are going to be there for 14 days! What if we don't like them? What if they don't like us? What if the plumbing is 19th Century? These were the questions we asked ourselves nervously after we booked Appleton's for our summer holiday. Our fears were unwarranted. Firstly, this area of France is lovely. Loaded with history, cultural charm and rural beautiful there is something here for everyone. The hosts, Edward and Malcolm, go the extra mile to ensure their guests have an enjoyable stay. The rooms are very comfortable with great en suite showers but it is the evening meals that are a joy. Either in the gazebo or under the pergola, guests dine together enjoying excellent food and fine wine as the sun slowly disappears behind the trees in the spacious garden. Next day,you can walk the randonees, borrow their bikes and go cycling or drive to the many local attractions. The test of a good holiday comes at the end. Was it worth it? Certainly. Would you come again to the Appleton's? For the first time all four members of the family said yes. The Buchanan Family

Picked Appletons from reviews - and we had a fantastic stay! Edward and Malcolm are such fab hosts. The rooms are spotlessly clean and high quality decor. We decided to eat at Appletons - and we are so glad we did!! The food was excellent and so much! We can not speak highly enough of our stay at Appletons. Highly recommended!
