Halana Lodge

Halana Lodge is a unique property. Five bedrooms have private baths, and two bedrooms share one bath. There is an extra 1/2 bath off the family room. There is a large living room, complete kitchen, family room, covered lanai, laundry room and dining room that can seat 20. All rooms are located on one floor.

The lodge rents individual rooms, but it is ideal for conferences, retreats, seminars, family gatherings and weddings.

We are 4 miles from Volcano Village and 5 miles from Volcanoes National Park. There are two different viewing areas to watch the Valcano and lava flow. The property is 30 acres and features a large lawn, fruit orchard and a fern forest for hiking. If you like to relax in serenity and privacy, Halana Lodge is perfect.

Halana Lodge is a little off the beaten track; in a beautiful setting. The room was a nice size and there is plenty of public space to share. The breakfast was simple but very good. Innkeepers were pleasant and shared local information. read more

In a great spot surrounded by rainforest. Exterior in need of a make-over. Very hospitable and friendly managers Sarah & Larry.

Innkeeper Response
We recognize that it is probably impossible to please all of our guests all of the time, but we do try hard to make their stay a wonderful experience. We are mystified by this review, since our guests' comments to us have all been positive. (One guest said her tub drained slowly, which we immediately fixed.) We will redouble our efforts to earn the outstanding ratings we previously received.
