I planned our stay at Miss Emily's as a surprise for my husband's birthday. The experience was exceptional due to the host and hostess' attention to every detail. The food was incredible and be sure to bring your appetite because you'll want to taste everything. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Having attended meetings of the International Foodservice Editorial Council, I've eaten some incredibly delicious food and feel confident in recommending the meals at Miss Emily's. I'm not trying to be snobby, just giving the context. Necia O'Neill can cook. My husband and I are in our 30s, and our stay over Memorial Day weekend 2009 was our first experience with a B&B. The balcony room was perfect - a soft, pillowy bed for me to sleep late, a balcony for my husband to get up early and drink coffee. The surrounding town was green and peaceful. We enjoyed every minute and came home refreshed.

Brian and Neccia had us feeling like we were visiting with family or old friends. The rooms were great, the food outstanding and the setting wonderful.

We spent 2 days with Brian and Necia and felt at home right away. The were not only very warm and welcoming but very informative aobut the area. The service was outstanding wihtout being intrusive. The rooms were immaculate, we were in the balcony room, as charming as you can see them. Necia took many steps to make sure that we felt at home and treated us like family. The food was also excellent and Necia payed attention to the local products. I look forward to visit them again. I highly recommend this gem in Virginia.
