For lodging in Gettysburg that provides lavish comfort, exquisite attention to detail and unparalleled privacy in an ambiance of home-away-from-home comfort, Quite the Stir bungalow B&B is quite the right choice! My husband and I stayed at "QTS" from October 28 to Nov. 3rd, 2009. It was seven days of vacation that was greatly enhanced by our lodging at QTS. Gettysburg is filled with Civil-War era B&Bs and inns… and that’s exactly what we did not want. After a day of sightseeing and ghost tours, we wanted to come back to a home-away-from-home that was a breath of fresh from the stale tourist-trade traps. QTS provided our desired non-commercialized accommodations and ambiance right in the heart of Gettysburg’s historic district! Quite the Stir is truly a hidden gem of a B&B! I advise anyone going to Gettysburg to check its web site and strike up a conversation (e-mail, too) with Innkeeper Jolene. Whatever questions or concerns you may have, Jolene is the go-to person. She sees to it that as a lodger, you are (in every sense of the word), a welcomed Guest! I would go back in an instant! My husband & I stayed July 1-5 at this lovely B & B. This was our second time in less than a year. Where to begin? The inn keepers are the most caring & fun people we have ever met. The decor is absolutely amazing! You feel like you have literally stepped back to the 1940's! When you arrive there is big band music playing. Unlike a traditional B & B you aren't just renting a room. You are renting the entire home! How many B & B's do you visit where there are little notes encouraging you to go through drawers, try things out, see EVERYTHING? None that I have been to besides Quite the stir. Reach into the fridge & grab a drink & have a seat on the furniture in the backyard surrounded by flowers & bushes or bring a book out onto the enclosed front porch. At Quite the Stir it is up to you! Also, for those special occasions, they have event planning that you can take advantage of!! The bed linens & pillows are soft & cozy. The towels are AMAZING! While in the bathroom look inside the medicine cabinet..fun stuff in there as well. You won't regret your trip & if you are like us...you will return again & again!!!

Amazing! That describes our suprise at this sweetheart of a B&B. The comfort factor, and privacy aspects in themselves are amazing. The decor of the bedrooms added to a romantic stay. A surprise upon our arrival was an added unexpected home made apple crumb pie waiting for us, the innkeeper gave us an education and history of a true bungalow when she saw how amazed we were at this place and all the special historical WWII era items. This cozy place puts immaculate on the map. We never knew these places were such icons in American history. Anyway, we have photos to take home and share with friend and family and are definitely heading back to the Stir next summer!

We have stayed at dozens of bed and breakfasts and Quite The Stir was by far, the best experience we could have ever hoped for in our weekend away! We had the house entirely to ourselves and the hostess Jolene made us feel as if we were relatives visiting from out of town. We would never stay anywhere else in Gettysburg- every aspect of our stay was tailored to our tastes and interests and we are already planning our next visit to Quite The Stir!

Quite the Stir is a very charming and quite little Bed and Breakfast, where you can actually step back in time. If you like History, you have it right at your fingertips. The decor of the B&B is Awesome. The bedrooms where named just right, for the 1940's era. The Bugel Boy and The Jitterbug. The Dining Room with the Fireplace, The Living Room, They were all just fantastic. My Husband and I spent our 33rd Anniversary at Quite the Stir, and we were just taken away by the beauty of this little B&B. The name Quite the Stir fits it just perfect. Quite The Stir is a step back in time. The Bed and Breakfast is exquisite in its decor. It definitely takes you back to a simpler time of the 1940's. Our relaxation began upon entering the door. We found ourselves resting both body and soul at Quite The Stir instead of sightseeing. Our last night's stay ended with slow dancing to the soft sounds of the 40's. A return visit is definitely planned. Congratulations to the Innkeeper for creating a place of slendor!
