Welcome to the classic village of Woods Hole, a place untouched by time but simultaneously at the epicenter of oceanographic research and marine biology. A sleepy town by winter and a buzzing urban setting in the summer.

At the center of it all, steps from the bay, sits the venerable Woods Hole Inn, a town institution since before the turn of the century.

From her perch over the harbor, this historic eight-bedroom Inn offers water views, a broad porch with cushioned lounges and quick access to the Martha's Vineyard ferry and the Shining Sea bike path that winds 3 miles into Falmouth center and another 8 miles from there to North Falmouth.

New owners are in the midst of an eco-friendly remodeling of this well located property. The Inn is very convenient if you miss the ferry, and includes free parking and use of inn bicycles as well as high speed internet and ipod docks. Our linens are top quality and we have had many rave reviews about our pillowtop mattresses!

Our staff will go the extra mile for you, so just ask. We can get you tickets and reservations in advance and recommend attractions and restaurants just to name a few.

The bridal party for a wedding I was in stayed at the Woods Hole Inn. The service and care was exemplary and the inn was clean & very quaint. I would definitely recommend it and also stay there again. Bravo!
