We enjoyed our stay. Great location, close to the river, restaurants, Gruene Hall and shopping. Comfortable beds. Secret Garden was great. Food and entertainment very good. Wonderful reuben sandwiches. Nice family atmosphere. Breakfast was acceptable, but nothing like advertised on the website.

We only stayed for one night, but I would definately go back. The room was plenty large enough to accomodate us and was still very cozy. The claw foot tub was a definate plus!

My husband and me stayed at Oma Gruene's for the weekend and loved it!! Our room was beautiful everyone was so nice and welcoming! We had a blast at the Beer Garden in the back! Everything in Gruene is in walking distance we never had to move our car!! I just loved Breakfast!! We will be back!

A trip to the Texas Hill Country must include a visit to Gruene, a pretty little town. If you're going to stay in Gruene then I recommend Oma Gruene's Inn. It's well maintained and the room my wife and I stayed in was attractively decorated and roomy. The staff were helpfuk and welcoming. The breakfast was fine, although personally I don't care for flavoured coffee. The location is great, within a few minutes walk of the Gruene Dance Hall and GristMill Restaurant. When we return to Texas we'll look to stay here again!

My husband and I loved the henrietta suite it was beautiful and the waterbed was very comfortable. We enjoyed having live music to listen to in the beer garden. We got to know about the house history from the managers but it wasnt stuffy prim and proper place. We really got to relax an let loose

Stayed here weekend of Aug 1, 2008. The young lady that showed us in was pleasant but never introduced herself. The room was was okay; but not as pictured. There was 4 towels and three washclothes in the bathroom and that is all that was provided the entire weekend. The used were not collected. The trash was not removed. The bed was made up; but that's it. There was not any soap in the bathroom nor any shampoo. There was not any kind of drinking glasses in the bathroom. For over $200 per night one would expect basic necessities. As far as breakfast it was ok expect there was nothing provided to drink. Not even water much less juice. The website states as you enter the house you will see " our Cappuccino and Coffee room serving fresh ground coffee and cappuccinos to our guest." This is very misleading as the guest have to pay for the coffee and are expected to come around back to the beer garden to pay!!! And there is a tip jar in this coffee room. Of all the audacity. If there was an owner present they never surfaced. Other guest were also voicing their displeasure over the breakfast and lack of soap. The outdoor grounds and beer garden needed a good grooming also. The fountain pictured on the website is not working. All in all the place is on the decline. Couldn't in good conscience recommend to anyone else. This was a last minute trip and the b and b we've stayed in before was booked on the Tues. before and most all of this place was available. Now I know why.

All and all it was a great place to stay. Eden was a great hostess, Paul was great too. However, Tracy not the nicest person there. I was a little surprised that breakfast wasn't being served the two mornings we were there. I thought this was a "Bed & Breakast". I guess not. Would probally stay there again, they just need to make a few improvements.

Eden was a great host for our stay. We had a large group and this was a perfect location in downtown historic Gruene, two doors down from the Gristmill and Gruene Hall. It is also a 5 minute walk from the river for tubing. Would definitely stay again.
