I shared a retreat here with a handful of friends and we enjoyed great food and fantastic hospitality. I also had an excellent massage an enjoyed an all-around relaxing and renewing weekend. And I got 27 pages done in my scrapbook!

A group of eight of us went to Grace Corner for a weekend scrapbooking retreat. The rooms had cozy, comfortable beds, and we all slept very well. As scrapbookers, we always bring snacks with us. We realized after the first filling meal that we didn't have to! Everything was so tasty, and all of it was made from scratch! The on-site massages were wonderful. Sue was very accomodating and helped us with every need that arose. We highly recommend this inn! Stephanie, Sioux City, IA

This wonderful bed and breakfast was a great choice for a "girls' getaway". The owner made sure all our needs were met. The food was good and healthy and everything was neat and clean!! The massages were also a plus and I highly recommend one if you stay there!!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Grace Corner. The innkeeper is very kind and extremely accommodating. The home is lovely with many comfortable areas to read or relax. Even though we follow a special diet, the food was plentiful and delicious. We visited in the winter, so having coffee and tea available at any time was great. Lawton is a very quiet and peaceful town, yet close enough to Sioux City that other services are available (such as ethnic dining, dog kennels, etc.). Grace Corner is a perfect place to rest your mind as well as your body. The fact that the innkeeper is also a massage therapist takes the stress out of trying to enjoy a massage when visiting an unfamiliar town. The peace and quiet of the home helped us to truly relax and leave the stresses of daily life behind. We would definitely recommend Grace Corner to friends and family.

House itself was beautiful inside and out. Sue is very accomodating person. Place was a bit too quiet for us. We come from a house with 2 kids and a dog. Rooms could use either a clock radio or white noise machine for those that are used to, and need noise to sleep. Bed was very comfortable and food was great. If you are looking for peace and total quiet then this place is for you. Would recommend to friends & family. Robert Von Hagel Brunsville Ia

The Monet room includes a signature oval window that overlooks the west lawn and a cozy vintage chenille spread on the queen sized bed.The Renoir room, with its vintage 1940s chenille bedspread, is warm and cozy without being frilly or foo-foo. An easy chair and a classic wooden rocker provide ample spaces for reading or relaxing in conversation.
The hardwood floors and intricate vintage-style headboard of the Cassatt room provide a pleasing contrast to the plush ivory rugs and hobnail bedspread. The pale teal floral wallpaper adds a touch of serenity.Tucked into the back corner of the house, the Larsson room has a magical quality of cozy isolation. Both men and women are drawn to the quiet, nook-like atmosphere for personal retreats.
The sun room includes both a massage therapy nook and a comfortable conversation area with wicker furniture and an IKEA Poang lounge chair. When not in use for massage or spiritual direction, this quiet space is open to guests as the ideal context for silent reflection, prayer, or a much needed nap!The Grace Corner dining room doubles as a gallery of "Little Women" memorabilia. If you have a particular interest, please ask the innkeeper for a complete showing of the collection, which includes one of Winona Ryder's costumes from the 1993 Columbia movie.
The Grace Corner dining room opens onto the east side of the wraparound porch, where breakfast may be served on request in mild weather. The beautiful Edwardian cast iron fireplace helps take the chill off Iowa winter evenings in the sitting room, where guests are welcome to enjoy a glass of wine or roast marshmallows.
