My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at the Aska Lodge. Mary Jo and Bob are exceptionally kind and generous and exceed all your expectations! The Inn is decorated with charming family antiques, plenty of books, DVD's and games will keep you happy and busy. But the best part is Mary Jo's tasty breakfast...we enjoyed the Breakfast Panini and a delicious Apple Cranberry Crumble with fresh apple cider from an orchard down the road! From the fluffy white robes in the closet to the ammenities in your room, you will not be disappointed! What a delighful couple and their wonderful Inn!

The room was wonderful! It was large, comfortable and very romantic. We especially enjoyed having snacks, drinks, etc. provided for us in the evenings while watching TV or sitting around. The hosts provided friendly conversation while not being overly invasive upon our time. We loved their dog who came, upon invitation,to our room for a brief visit. We were able to participate in the white water rapids since it was so handy from the lodge. It was just a great visit and we look forward to doing it again soon.

My 12 year old son and I stayed one night at the Aska Lodge for a Mom/Son getaway. We were heading to whitewater rafting in the area the next day. Aska Lodge is a wonderful property with whimsical bird feeders and artsy lawn decorations to catch your eye as you pull in. The front porch was a great retreat with porch swings, chairs & tables to relax and take in the mountain view. The guest area downstairs featured TV, games, fridge with drinks, snacks and homemade cookies and beautifully decorated with antiques in a classy lodge style. Our room was large with comfy beds, great linens and a balcony that looked out onto the mountains. Inn keeper Mary Jo was very cordial, helpful but not obtrusive and a great cook. There is much to do in the area and we enjoyed a night at the local drive-in theatre and ate at a great local restaurant that Mary Jo suggested. We are trying to figure out how soon we can get back!

A wonderful place to get away from it all. Birds, flowers, trees, bottle trees, butterflies, everything back to nature. The early morning coffee (7 am) was great to take back to the room and then sit on the porch and watch the sunrise. Bob and Mary Jo were so knowledgeable and helpful in offering places to visit, how to get there, and restaurants in the area. The candlelight breakfast was wonderful and the food that was served was very delicious. It was our first time to stay at a B & B . The white stuffed bear was a nice touch as it sany "LOVE" in celebration of our 54 anniversary. I would suggest staying here for at least two nights to get the real "feel" of the peaceful setting and the feeling of "A Perfect Day".

Our stay with Bob and Mary Jo was the highlight of our honeymoon! I have stayed at many B&B's over the last 15 yrs., including some very nice one's up in Maine, but I have to admit the Aska Lodge tops them all! What a great place this is, nestled in the Blue Ridge mountains. We immediately felt so welcomed and at home. We spent 3 nights in the "Jessica Lynn" room and wish we could have stayed a lot longer. Bob would fire up the campfire for us at dusk and to just sit around the fire telling ole stories with him and the other guests was a lot of fun. Their little dog "Abbey" was so friendly and well behaved. You couldn't ask for anything more. All of our needs were met and exceeded. The breakfast meals were always a delight. I give ratings that are very honest, but in this case all areas were outstanding! We are already figuring out when we can break free to visit Bob & Mary Jo again.

This was my first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and I couldn't have been more pleased. Mary Jo and Bob seem to have thought of everything to make their guests comfortable and relaxed. The cozy sitting area had a fire which was perfect for the cold weather that evening and the comfy furniture and company were so inviting that we stayed up talking until late that night. My bathroom was large and had plenty of fluffy towels. The bed was exceptionally comfortable and I slept better than I usually do when away from home. There were several large windows in the bedroom and a wonderful porch overlooking the mountain. I loved the candlelight breakfast, especially the sweet potato pancakes with the Lodge's own fresh blueberries. Delicious - as were Mary Jo's homemade cookies! Drinks and snacks were available at all hours and I certainly felt at home. The entire experience was so relaxing that it was difficult to leave. I would like to have stayed longer and seen more of the local area. I definitely plan to visit again and take advantage of the Stamper's beautiful home and hospitality.

Great location, beautiful views from the property, outstanding rooms, and excellent hospitality. The Toccoa river, Aska adventure area, great hiking, Mercier's orchards, and the wonderful town of Blue Ridge are all in the immediate area. In this area better known for more expensive cabin rentals (complete with high cleaning fees and self-cooked breakfasts), it's wonderful to be able to get away and be pampered for a weekend. Bob & Maryjo are the perfect hosts! Breakfast was delicious, and the common area boasts games, a wonderful fireplace, mini home theater, and self-serve refreshments at any hour (including the bottomless cookie jar!). - David & Gina, Roswell, GA

The lodge was easy to find, yet tucked away enough that you actually felt "away." The owners/innkeepers were super nice and very down to earth. Mary Jo's cooking was amazing, and the grounds had been kept extremely well by Bob. The view was beautiful, and our room was comforting. We recommend anyone stay at the lodge if venturing into to Blue Ridge for tubing, rafting, fishing or to just get away from life for a while. The Aska Lodge was even lovlier than the photos! My room had a private balcony with a great view, but the wrap-around porch with the swing became my second home during my stay. I sat there and ate blackberries that I picked myself and waited for the neighborhood dog, Belle, to join me. Sometimes Abby, the canine in residence, would come out and keep me company, too. The innkeepers were very friendly and had thought of everything. In fact, I ransacked the jar of homemade cookies more often than I'd like to admit! I also stocked up on the free snacks and drinks before my walks up the mountain. The common area was very cozy (surprising in such a big room) with a huge fireplace and comfortable chairs, and I loved that there were lots of books. There were games there, too, but the books are what I really loved. I stayed in the Rachel Victoria room, which was spacious. There was lots of room to spread out and I liked having options about where I could read and relax. Breakfast was a memorable event because it's not often that I eat at such a beautiful table. We had delicious chocolate muffins and some sort of a really cool breakfast pizza with fresh fruit - scrumptious! In addition to spending time on the front porch and in my room reading, I also went into the town of Blue Ridge. I liked the fact that it was only a few minutes away even though being at the lodge made it seem like I was out in the middle of the wilderness. I spend some time wandering through the shops in town, and I ate at some great places -- who can beat homemade blackberry pie? The Italian deli (Angelica's ??) was also delicious. I took a ride on the Blue Ridge Scenic Railroad , too. One day I'd like to come back and go tubing or rafting. One night the innkeepers built a bonfire and we roasted marshmallows and caught fireflies -- it took me back to my childhood! I had a wonderful stay at the Aska Lodge and plan on returning soon.

Aska Lodge was a wonderfully quiet place to celebrate our first anniversary. It was great to escape the hustle and bustle without having to drive for hours. The mountains, the wildlife, and the atmosphere were just what we needed to relax and spend time by ourselves. The home cooked breakfasts were scrumptious and eagerly anticipated. Baked Apple French Toast, Fruit Salad, and Cinnamon Bagels with Carrot Cake Jam was our personal favorite. Makes my mouth water right now. Bob and Mary Jo have done a wonderful job of combining Old World Charm with New World Convenience. We highly recommend Aska Lodge. We will go back with family and friends.

Mary Jo and Bob are incredibly attentive, sweet and charming people; thier Aska Lodge reflects those traits wonderfully. Beautiful rooms named after people they love, every room has a porch and a the moon garden glows with a freindly welcoming "rest well" here vibe. We sat on the balcony and watched the indigo buntings and cotton-tailed bunnies with the binoculars that are thoughtfully placed next to the balcony door as the sun set after a great day on the train in blue ridge. We woke slowly and enjoyed a fantastic home made breakfast which included sourcream blueberry pancakes and a visit from thier happy dog, "Abby". The Aska Lodge experience should not be missed!

We cannot possibly describe how much we enjoyed our Spring Break in the mountains at the Aska Lodge. Our second story corner bedroom had a wrap around balcony with a porch swing just outside a screen door with a breathtaking view. We sat on the swing in our comfy Aska Lodge robes and watched the sunrise. The bedding and linens were obviously selected with great care and were Biltmore quality. The innkeepers, Bob and MaryJo made us feel so at home. The hospitality was the best and food was outstanding. The town of Blue Ridge is just a short distance away where we able to walk to the cute shops. From there we also enjoyed riding the Blue Ridge Scenic Railway. Our whole experience was relaxing, refreshing, and the ultimate get away. We can't wait to visit again!

This was my first time at a B&B so I was unsure what to expect. I was pleasantly surprised! The thick towels and robes were a nice touch, along with the very comfy beds. I especially enjoyed sitting on my private deck and watching the sun rise in the morning in my pj's! Watching the moon and stars at night by the fire pit was equaly impressive. Breakfast was delicious and served by candlelight - nice! Be warned however - you must like dogs, as Abby the resident dog is adorable and loves to greet the guests! I am definately coming back......

A family visit brought me to the beautiful mountains of Georgia. I was not prepared for the natural beauty of the area and really didn't want to leave the outdoors which made the Aska Lodge a perfect spot. The porches, vistas and location were all a pleasant surprise! A great place to relax but still close enough to awesome restaurants, shopping and activities. With only 4 rooms, I plan on reserving the whole place next time for my whole family. Best to be a dog lover as every time I went out for a walk, a neighborhood pet would follow me back to the lodge.

Nice secluded Inn, quiet and very restful environment. The staff is just wonderful and great to have a cocktail and conversation with any time of the day. It feels like home and the rooms are very nice. Nicest B&B from Florida to Alaska that I have enjoyed. We will be back!!!! Thanks Bob and Mary Jo

My husband and I recently had the opportunity to spend a weekend at the beautiful Aska Lodge at Blue Ridge, Georgia. We were pleasantly surprised by the rustic, yet modern accommodations. From the wonderful breakfasts to the plush bedding, our stay was perfect. The innkeepers, Bob and Mary Jo, made us feel like family as we came and went from the lodge, going antique shopping, trying the local cuisine and simply enjoying the adorable town of Blue Ridge. The only down side was that our stay was just too short. We continue to tell all of our friends about Aska Lodge and can't wait until our next opportunity to visit. We WILL be back.

The Aska Lodge was all I expected and more! We had a great week in Blue Ridge, starting each day with a magnificent breakfast by candlelight!! We were booked in the Jessica Lynn room which was clean and cozy. The king size bed was very comfortable and we were well rested each morning. We enjoyed the Jacuzzi in the room as well as the sitting area downstairs where we were able to relax and socialize in the evenings. One bonus that was nice, when we returned from a day of touring, we enjoyed the complimentary snacks, cookies, and drinks in the common area for the guests. The Innkeepers were very accommodating, making us feel welcome. We will definitely visit the Aska Lodge again

The bed was so comfy . . . we didn't want to get up and the breakfasts were so delicious . . . . there's something special about breakfast by candlelight! The view from the house is wonderful, and it is so relaxing just to sit outside. There are plenty of things to do . . . shopping, train ride, shopping, good food, shopping, hiking, shopping . . . well, you get the picture. We had a wonderful time and will be going back this summer.
