Whitman House

Though it has been newly renovated, we think of the Whitman House as an established Cambridge residence.

We are a 15 minute walk from both Harvard and MIT, or a 3 minute walk to the local subway which gets you to the heart of either in one stop and the Heart of Boston in three.

We have been personally involved in community affairs for 26 years and glad to be your conduit to the cities of Boston and Cambridge.

Beginning with free off street parking on site, wireless internet, private bathrooms, and a flexible breakfast schedule;

There is nothing you could need that isn't approachable in one way or another.

Innkeeper Response

We have a very small guest house with three rooms. We offer to make coffee or tea, and breakfast individually to the people who are staying. We also offer a fully-stocked refrigerator and kitchen, so that guests can fix their own breakfast at their convenience as well. We also offer a free breakfast at a local Cafe if people prefer going out, and we now provide a menu to guests of what is available for breakfast at the Whitman House which includes coffee, three kinds of tea, four kinds of bread, bagels, cereal, croissants with sausage and egg, ham, yogurt and we purchase anything available which a guest requests. We have often, when people flew in late or in bad weather, prepared a free dinner for guests. Clearly we did not communicate effectively with this reviewer which we shall try to improve.
