The Schrocks were very welcoming and the quaint village of Fredericksburg was a relaxing place. Near the Holmes County bike trail & amish country. Breakfast was yummy.

We stayed two nights at Maria's during October leaf peeping season. Maria & her husband Arnie are extremely welcoming, and wonderful hosts. They make you feel so much at ease and are delightful to visit with. Their home is very nice and the rooms were more spacious than we anticipated and decorated beautifully with wonderful, unexpected little touches. They are located convenient to Berlin, Millersburg, Sugarcreek - all the quaint little Amish towns in the area. You will not be disappointed!

Excellent accommodations -- she thought of everything from relaxing CDs to scones for an evening snack to coffee in the sitting room before breakfast. DVDs to choose from and view. We felt welcome and very comfrotable. Breakfast was great!

Very accomodating considering we were late arriving! Rooms were very clean with little extras-luxurious towels and relaxing body washes,shampoos etc. Very nice touch. Breakfast was very good and our innkeepers Marie and Arnie joined us in conversation-which was very enlightening especially about the amish area. Our hosts were a wonderful couple who understood the balance of privacy, service, and quality. My wife and I set a high standard of expectation. We weren't disappointed. After a day of driving the countryside in Holmes County, Ohio, shopping the antique venues, and sampling the local culinary fare, we just wanted to relax. Maria understood our needs and showed us to our lovely room. She gave us a quick tour and explained our options. She gave us our keys and we took a nap. After a couple of hours rest we were ready to set out on another adventure and didn't return until near dark. We came back and made arrangements for breakfast at eight the next morning. We enjoyed the best night's sleep in our super clean room. The bathroom was stocked with all the right pampering gels and soaps my wife enjoys. The house is decorated with period furniture and boasts very tastefull intricate woodwork. The next morning we were treated to Maria's fine cooking skill. I am particular about my taste in coffee. I wasn't disappointed. I had a few extra cups while we shared several subjects in conversation. This was a great experience. I would suggest this Inn to anyone and feel good about knowing they will not be disappointed.

Maria, Arne, and Tyson made our four night stay so pleasureable that we would not consider staying anywhere else when we return home on vacation. We were treated just like beloved family members. Maria made superb breakfasts, many dishes with original recipes, and she offered many amenities that were beyond anything we dreamed of. We could not think of anything they could have done better. We went looking for a weekend get-away from the city & stress and found it! Very relaxing, enjoyable stay. Great location to the bike trail. A quaint, lovely , peaceful retreat with a very comfortable bed, a wonderful breakfast and accomodations that were spotlessly clean. The innkeepers were gracious and accomodating. The parrot and resident cat made it more like 'a home away from home.' Maria's homemade, stuffed French toast is chef quality! We're looking forward to trying our original Mrs. Miller's homemade noodles.

This was our first trip to the "Amish Country" and we had a warm welcome from Maria and Arnie. We are very fussy when it comes to where we stay and Maria's was even better than all the reviews we read before arriving! The room was immaculately clean and had many extra's. We especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast and conversation at the table with the two Hosts as we shared stories of travel, food, family and local "lore". We hope to visit again soon and recommend Maria's to anyone traveling to this beautiful area.

My best friend & I have been promising ourselves a special treat for 18 years and Maria's delivered. Maria and Arnie were charming and had just the right balance between 'hosting' and allowing us privacy. The property is lovely. We ended up arriving late, but Maria was gracious and still had a little snack (the best scones) in our room and the tea pot ready. We will definitely return if given the chance and recommend Maria's to any one who asks!

My husband easily could have stayed a week and enjoyed the atmosphere, breakfast and especially the visits with Maria and Arnie. Enjoyed waking up in the morning to the clop, clop, clop of the horses bring the Amish to town. Maria shared her yummy recipes. We can't wait to go back!

We visited on August 1, 2008. Maria made us feel very welcome, and she was most helpful supplying directions and answers to our questions. The next morning Maria and Arnie joined us at the breakfast table, and they were so interesting to talk to that we almost forgot that we wanted to go to a Mennonite Auction and Relief Sale in nearby Kidron. We recentyly took a trip to Amish country and I looked online for bed and breakfasts in the area. Maria has posted pictures on her web site, but you can't appreciate the charm and warmth of the entire house until you see all the little details! The food was great, and the hospitality exceeded anywhere we've stayed before since. If you're going to be near Fredericksburg, OH take time to spend at least 1 night in this refreshingly quiet and comfortable home.

Our stay at Marias's was "over the top"!! The room and the home are impeccable and our hosts were so wonderful! We so enjoyed getting to know Maria and Arnie. Maria was pulling fresh mocha scones from the oven just as we arrived at the beautiful historic Victorian home. She and her husband, Arnie, were perfect hosts, along with their pet parrot, Poppyseed. She even shared with me her recipe for her unbelievable apple stuffed french toast!

This property near the heart of Ohio’s Amish country is a great little getaway, rich with history. It is well-kept, clean, and cozy with many extras. Our stay at Maria’s B&B was exactly what we needed – quite, peaceful, and renewing topped off with phenomenal food. Did I mention the food? We were so blessed with the meals prepared by the couple. Maria has developed her own cookbook overflowing with mouthwatering recipes. We have enjoyed their meals from afar through our personal copy of this recipe book.
