I have stayed at Rogues' Harbor Inn during at least two holidays now and it is just beautifully decorated! It is a warm, elegant, beautiful and affordable! If I needed anything extra, the staff were only to polite and helpful. I highly recommend Rogues Harbor for it's accessibility to the area, style, and accommodations.

Located on the east shore of Cayuga Lake, this Inn also once provided Seward (of Seward's Folly) a place to stay. The room (we had Number 1) was spacious and comfortable. Because we were the only occupants that Monday night, service was very personal, friendly, and efficient. Breakfast was prepared to order and served in what was likely the Inn's original dining room. My two suggestions to management would be: (1) Lower placement of the soap and conditioner in the shower. I'm over 6 feet tall, and reaching the top of the dispenser was a challenge for me. My wife, at 5 feet, did not even try. (2) While 93 degree days are rare in Ithaca, when they occur the Inn's rooms do absorb and hold heat. The window air conditioner in room 1 is too small for the room, making the room still warm after 10 pm. Replace that air conditioner with a more efficient unit matched to room size. But, in spite of these fairly-minor problems, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay again.

Room was nice, but the building is old. We didn't sleep well our first night due to the heat making a lot of noise.

i love staying at historic inns. rogues' harbor inn had a great pub where we had dinner and a bottle of wine, then we just walked upstairs to our room. we stayed in room 6 which was nice and quiet. the room was pretty and clean without being fussy or overdone. our really sweet asst. inn keeper cooked us eggs and bacon for breakfast in their newly renovated 19th century ballroom. staying here was a unique experience and a good value. we will definitely be back again.

My husband and I stayed at the Rogues' Harbor Inn at the end of September, 2008. The pictures on the website were much nicer than in person. We felt it could have been cleaner...Our room attracted several flies during our 2 day stay. The bed dipped in the center and the tv in the room was very small. Even to check the news a 13 inch tv wasn't adequate. I wouldn't recommend staying there. We were disappointed.

We were in town for a wedding and chose Rogue's Harbor quite last minute. The room was fine, and the bed comfortable. I really appreciated that the hotel owner wanted to conserve resources (by not changing the towels/sheets every night), but I did find the roll of brown paper towels in the shared bath to be contradictory to her other green initiatives. The restaurant at Rogue's Harbor boasts many local foods, although their menu is terribly deceiving: if you read the fine print, the local food icon conveys that at least one food item in the dish was local. So one could order a salmon salad billed as "local" where the salmon, greens, onions, croutons, etc are all shipped in by Sysco, but the tomatoes are from Tompkins county. It's very misleading. I think the owner needs to clarify these points on the menu, and also note if beef is grass-fed. The restaurant did make a fabulous burger (not local, but good), but the house salad was BEYOND TERRIBLE. It was comprised of a pile of salad greens, two very small grape tomatoes, and an enormous splattering of flavorless dressing (my estimate is that they put 3/4 cup of dressing on my salad - no joke). This salad needs work, but the staff should serve it on the side. One more thing: this place is not ADA accessbile, not even close.

It was a true pleasure to stay at Rogue's Harbor Inn. The inn is utterly charming in a way that only an historic building can be and it was immaculately clean. Our room was lovely - very comfortable, classy decor that was not overdone and the bathroom was nicely modern with a great shower. The staff were relaxed and friendly. The restaurant has a refreshingly unique and varied dinner menu. The location is very convenient - only 5 minutes from Ithaca and a short drive to Watkins Glen and the wineries on Seneca and Cayuga Lakes.

We stayed at Rogue's Harbor for our anniversary and found it to be wonderful. There is a colorful pub with a local feel and great food!! We also enjoyed the Cayuga Lake Cruise (which we found from a link on the Rogue's Harbor website) and the Ithaca's Farmer's market. The inn is centrally located and very close to lots of great things to do. We will stay again!!!

We spent 2 nights, July4/5,2008 with our 2 young adult aged children. THe rooms were large, beautifully decorated, lovely bedding, and the large bathroom also was spotless. The outside of the Inn needs work. Don't be misled by that, the inside is great, a cute breakfast room serves continental breakfast . We didn't eat in the dining room or bar, but have heard it is excellent food. I would definately stay again, and we are fussy about our accomadations.

The innkeeper plesantly helped me arrange for some special requests (a rose and appetizers) to be delivered to our room prior to arrival. The bar had a great array of fine imported beers (draught and bottled) in addtion to numerous local wines, ports and sherrys although the prices were a bit steep. The restaurant was great; the menu offered a nice variety of options at fair prices. The meal was delicious! Continental breakfast was provided and again offered an array of yummy breakfast foods (fresh croissants, delicious hearty raisin bread, cinnamon rolls, yogurts, cereals, juices, fresh fruit, teas, coffee etc.) We stayed in Room 4 which was very spacious with a nice comfortable queen bed. Two bathrooms were located immediately across from Room 4 so while they were shared by another room, it went unnoticed. The smaller bathroom doesn't have a shower or electrical receptacle however the larger bathroom does but the shower is very small. The inn sits close to the road so expect some road noise. We enjoyed our stay at the inn and plan to go back. All in all - the inn was wonderful! Kudos to the Innkeeper and her staff for providing great service.

Over the past 10 years, our family has enjoyed many special occasions both dining and staying at the Inn. We have always received warm, attentive service, excellent food and accommodations. The rooms are cozy, clean and comfortable. The location makes it a wonderful spot when going to college functions or just local exploring. The many little extras in the rooms always make it a pleasure to stay at Rogue's!!

Perfect location for visiting Cornell Univ, downtown Ithaca, beautiful waterfalls, not to mention wine trail. At days end the food at your restaurant was varied and great. We enjoyed as many glasses of wine as we wanted with our delicious rack of lamb since there would be no driving involved after dinner. The restaurant was busy but none of the noise carried up the stairs as we headed to our cozy room with the lovely antiques and a king size bed to flop on to. Thank you Rogues' Harbor, we will return.
