My wife and I were looking for that perfect spot for a memorable New Year's Eve, and a way to connect with America's history in the following days. We found everything we wanted at the Cozy Inn in St. Augustine! Our suite contained the CLEANEST assembly of furnishings, linens, and COMFORTABLE bedding. The welcoming committee (stationed in a check-in area in a separate cottage) made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. Once the suite door closed and we saw the iced bubbly waiting, we knew this was the spot for memories. Our private world to usher in the New Year was perfect. Each morning, the fresh fruit basket presented a harvest of locally grown fruits to start our day. The location was a stone's throw from EVERYTHING HISTORICAL! A walk on some of the best beaches in the world, and a world of shopping, were only a short drive from our door. We cannot imagine finding a better value for the price with all the trimmings? I can't say enough good things about this place. I stayed at the St. Augustine room on a Friday and Saturday night. It was the BEST hotel/b&b experience I've ever had. The room was immaculately clean, and it was really comfortable AND gorgeous. The small staff were all very friendly and helpful (front desk gave me restaurant suggestions for dinner). The best part was the breakfast basket. Each morning at 9 a.m. sharp, we received a huge basket that included: 2 bananas, 2 oranges, 2 apples, 2 different kinds of cereal, 2 servings of milk, 2 servings of orange juice, 2 muffins, 2 croissants, 2 yogurts, a huge fresh fruit bowl, an entire box of granola bars (that was Saturday morning..Sunday morning was all the same except we had 2 individually wrapped granola bars instead of a whole box)...plus coffee with creamer, sugar, artificial sweetener, cream cheese (for croissants maybe?), jelly, and butter. I LOVED this place...the price was EXCEPTIONAL. It is about a mile from the historic district, so we took a cab whenever we needed to go downtown. (the cost of a cab ride one-way to downtown was only $6) Honestly, I cannot say enough great things about this place. PLEASE give them a try. You WON'T regret it.
