My Husband and I were blessed to start our honeymoon here. Granted we are new to the bed and breakfast scene and visited two addition bed and breakfasts in two different states, we felt at home immediately and loved our stay. We were sad to leave. Clif and Larry are top notch and go out of their way to make every aspect first class, from the rooms, to breakfast, afternoon snack, dessert, to turn down service. One can only feel spoiled rotten to the ump degree. The setting is charming and quite the romantic spot. It is also a great place for rest or relaxation. I can not stop raving about this bed and breakfast. Out of all the ones my husband and I stopped at along our trip, none came close to this one. Not to mention feeling pampered, the location is ideal. It is close to everything. We discovered that even with three days, we weren't able to do everything. We had such an amazing time that we have already planned to return. If you are looking for a great bed and breakfast, don't pass this one up. View Reviewer Info

Over the past Memorial Day weekend my wife and I stayed at The Belding House Bed & Breakfast hoping to relax and enjoy the lavish, green VT! What a relaxing stay that was! Clif and Larry truly provide an extraordinary experience for all guests staying at their Inn. From the very first moment when you book your reservation you are treated in a special, kind and personal way. After you arrive at The Belding it only gets better. The place is welcoming, the Inn keepers professional and caring. If you have never stayed at any B&B (just like us) this will truly exceed your expectations and leave a pleasant memory that you would like to visit over an over again.
The Belding House is located just off VT 100 with approximately 5 miles to Waterbury, VT ( excellent Thai restaurant Osha) and about 9 miles to Stowe. After you arrive, you can expect to be treated to an afternoon snack prepared by Clif( who can seriously compete on Iron Chef!) and plenty of wine, beer and hospitality added to it. Rooms are excellent and clean, with personal touches left by Innkeepers every night (chocolates). When you come back from your night out you can expect a superb desert that will elevate your soul and satisfy your taste. In the morning get ready...Breakfast is to die for! Every morning Clif and Larry tried to and successfully manged to exceed our craving expectations with serving delicious, huge breakfast filled with fresh berries, hickory smoked bacon, french toast, artisan quiche (prepared by Larry) and many other delicacies that keep you going for almost the whole day.
What else we can add? The Belding House is truly not your usual B&B. Innkeepers do make you feel like you are home away from home and after staying there you leave as a friend not just another guest!
Clif and Larry, thank you for a spectacular long weekend! It will be nice to visit you again! Mariusz & Ewa View Reviewer Info

The Belding House is indeed a refined Bed & Breakfast. My husband and I stayed there for 2 nights during our honeymoon and were pampered from the moment we walked in the door. Inn keepers Larry and Clif are such phenomenal hosts.
We arrived to the Belding House way past check-in time, at approximately 11pm. Our hosts helped us with our luggage, and showed us around the
house. There was a bottle of champagne on ice in our room, and the room had been turned-over with rose petals and chocolate on the bed. That
evening before we called it a night we sat with Larry in the living room by the warm fireplace and talked for a while. He served us Creme Brule, wine, and some snacks. He was full of information on local sites and neighboring towns.
The next morning we woke up to a gourmet breakfast that looked exactly like the picture on their website. The breakfast was exquisite!
The entire ambiance of the Belding House was by far the most romantic Bed & Breakfast we have been too. The scent in the house was of cinnamon &
pumpkin spices, the music that played was timeless Jazz, and the dim lighting and candles throughout the house was perfect for us honeymooners.
After our 2 day stay at the Belding House we stayed at a couple of other bed and breakfast but none came close to the exceptional treatment we
received at the Belding House, so much that we ended up canceling one of our reservations and called Larry and Clif asking to please let us stay
our last night at the Belding House, they told us to give them an hour to tidy up a room for us!
I could go on and on...We recommend the Belding House to all who are looking for a romantic, relaxing, first-class getaway.

I have traveled and stayed in bed and breakfasts all over the country, and I most say that this is by far my favorite. We were supposed to stay at the Sugar Bush ski resort, but they were full to capacity because of the Today Show, and we were really glad that they were once we walked in to this beautiful bed & breakfast. Larry who’s one of the proprietors was there to welcome us, and offered us some drinks and snacks, then he showed us to our rooms which were very clean, well kept and very nicely decorated; the same can be said about the rest of the house. Each of the rooms has a fireplace, making them very cozy and romantic. We were later joined by the other proprietor Cliff and we had drinks, snacks and nice conversation; both he and Larry are wonderful people. They are very nice, sociable and really go out of their way to make you feel at home. Larry and Cliff are great cooks; Cliff is a professional chef, so needless to say that the food and wine was top of the line in this place (best breakfast in town!). Their motto is walk in as customers and leave as friends; and they are absolutely right. I can really see everyone that walks in this place leaving as friends and genuinely caring and keeping in touch with these guys. I recommend this place 100%, for the comfort, the food, the feeling of being home, the treatment and especially for Larry and Cliff. View Reviewer Info

This is not your typical bed and breakfast. It's not gramma's house and it's not the commercial would be hotel. This is truly a place to relax in elegant comfort and expansive grounds. Guests can comingle in an inviting setting or venture out in and on grounds remote and romantic setting, of which there are a few on property. There is plenty of room for wedding or company events. The hosts are extreme in friendliness and quite talented with their breakfast gourmet presentations and delightltful afternoon pastries and pies. Cliff and Larry will bring a depth to your travel experience that exceedds every expectation. They understand the history of the area and their recomendations for adventure and dining are all but taylor made. Aside from the local scene, they bring personal experience to travel around the globe. Engulf yourself, as we did, in intellectual conversation regarding culture and adventure from Tibet and Indonesia to Costa Rica and Jamaica. A getaway?, definately, and for me and mine, a definate get to, again and again. Mark & Marie Peck - Carefree, AZ., USA View Reviewer Info

Clif and Larry call themselves the custodians of the 200+-year-old Belding House because "they are just one in a line of many owners" of this beautiful home. The Beldings, the family who built the home and the current namesake of the B&B, should be pleased with what they've done to update this grand dame and her grounds. The inn is immaculate, and the colors on the walls, in the draperies and in the furniture are warm and inviting - perfect shades of autumnal bliss. The inn is well-adorned with artwork from around the globe, and amazingly, the international flavor blends seamlessly with the more traditional New England style of the home. (Be sure to ask for stories about the art.) The cozy bedding is so comfy it's hard to coax yourself out. But, the smells coming from the kitchen in the morning do the trick! Breakfast is a magical time of day at the Belding House - from French toast casserole and maple sausage to fresh fruit and piping hot coffee. But the hosts don't stop there. Homemade sweet treats are out throughout the day, and Clif and Larry always have local beers, wine and after-dinner drinks available to guests.
Their home is truly your home for an unforgettable getaway.
