My wife and I wanted to try something new. We have always wanted to try a B&B but I was not sure. My thoughts regarding a B&B was like renting out a spare bedroom with breakfast. The innkeepers proved I was more than wrong. My wife and I enjoyed this weekend so much. The property was clean, roomy, safe, and the morning meals were great. My partner and I visited for a four-day weekend in October and we were pleasantly surprised. The rooms were new, well- appointed, very comfy, and the walk-in spa shower was very welcome. The Beach Spa B&B was a wonderful surprise for two couples on a quick weekend get away. Debbie and Danny were wonderful hosts and accommodated our vegan diet with a charming on-the-spot breakfast. The inn was impeccably clean and comfortably decorated in a mix of antique and contemporary decor. The heating/cooling system was new and worked well. Our room was quiet and peaceful. Mike and I had the best 3 days away! Our room was absolutely beautiful! The spa tub was so so nice! The breakfasts were absolutely wonderful and the snacks were great! Ask Debbie about her pesto! My wife and I just returned home from a week at the inn for our honeymoon, and we cannot say enough for this place. It took us a while to actually find it, but I think that was because of how tired we were from the drive up there from home. When we arrived, Debbie was extremely nice in helping us check in and get settled before heading right back out to try and catch a dinner cruise in Norfolk. Danny provided a sumptuous handmade breakfast every morning that was beyond expectations. And his suggestions of things to do made our stay in Virginia Beach that much more enjoyable considering all the rain that hit the area while we were there. the spa tub and shower in our room were excellent for relaxing after a day out in Norfolk or going aroudn Virginia Beach. Our room had a wonderful tri-headed spa shower that included a waterfall head, a standard head, and a set of massage heads. And being that it was a walk-in shower didn't hurt either. The inn is about 3 blocks from the beach, so it is within walking distance of the beach and plenty of sights around the beach.

This is the only way to stay at the beach! The rooms are spacious and private, fresh and quiet, the food is great, and the innkeepers really make you feel at home. The spa atmosphere is very peaceful and the massages are unbeatable. This hot spot may not be oceanfront but it is only a few steps away and well worth it. It is nicely tucked away from the busy beach street noise. My family and I are definately making this a return destination.

We had a mini family reunion at the Beach Spa B&B and everything was terrific. The location was great - right off the main drag, but really close to everything. We all had separate rooms, which were nicely decorated, very clean and extremely comfortable. The jacuzzi was great to come back to every night. We grew very attached to it. I cannot give enough praise to the innkeepers - Debbie and Dan... they were wonderful, fun people. Their restaurant recommendations were spot on and their hospitality, as well as, the breakfasts and afternoon snacks was amazing. Stay: July 9-July 12, 2009 We had chosen the Beach Spa Bed and Breakfast to celebrate our 1 yr anniversary! While there was a moment it looked like we weren't going to make it, I'm so glad that we did. This was our first experience at a B&B and Danny and Debbie, went out of there way to make us feel warm and welcome. The breakfasts provided were out of this world delicious! The overpriced restaurants on the boardwalk couldn't compare. You'll be lucky to try their Peach Melba French toast (outstanding - it's like heaven in a bite). Our room was fantastic! While I opted to use the heated spa/hot tub they have outside, our room had a jacuzzi and can I say that I fell in love with our shower room? I can only say one day I would love to have a bathroom like that. Everything was so clean and neat, the guest pantry was nice and I would also recommend the massage therapists. This was my first and its the beginning of a beautiful friendship and a love of Swedish Massages! As you can see I could go on and on but your best bet would be to book a room and try it! I think if you do you'll be as enchanted with the Beach Spa Bed and Breakfast like we were. Although I know many of you would love an oceanfront room and that's what we were hoping for too, after we got there and saw the activity on the boardwalk it was nice to be two blocks away from all the commotion and bustle of the main strip. We had never stayed in a B&B before, but decided to stay in one for our 5th wedding anniversary. We are very happy with our decision. Danny & Debbie made us feel at ease immediately, and were very friendly. They pointed out restaurants that they recommended, as well as events that were going on in the area. It's a mere 3 minute walk to the beach, which is nice, since you are away from the oceanfront beach crowds. We stayed in Avamere and were more than pleased with it. We stayed here for our one year anniversary for four nights. We enjoyed the wonderful food, thoughtfulness of the innkeepers, the short walk to the beach and shops, and the outdoor spa pool. Every night the innkeepers would tell us that when we got back the pool will be nice and warm for us. I believe they caught on since we had already been in it two nights in a row. Stayed here with my hubby to celebrate our 10yr. anniversary and since we are used to going to really nice hotels we wanted to do something different. Well the experience was definitely different! The Innkeepers are personable, the rooms were nice and cozy. It's not noisy and high traffic like most hotels and breakfast was personally cooked by the innkeepers, which was delicious! (even though I need smaller portions). They have a heated spa pool for the use of the occupants, and in our own room there was a spa shower, that once we figured out how to work it, was pure heaven!! The whole atmosphere was intimate and just what we were looking for. It's very close to the beach also, which is a major plus. We enjoyed our stay so much that we decided to make it an annual getaway.

I had the chance to tour the Beach Spa Inn and loved the cool colors and the feng shui feel to it. It's rare to find a modern and purpose-built B&B, and this is one that really works for not only younger people but older travelers too. It's just two blocks from the water and all the action of Virginia Beach. The rooms are gorgeous, and all quite large. I've never seen such cool showers - really they're vertical jacuzzis. Between the beach and the showers, you're set. But right in the middle of the inn, they have a very cool built-in hot tub with a waterfall, which is just outstanding. I think the Beach Spa is a real gem.

We arrived in town on a rainy, cold Friday and were greeted warmly by the innkeeper with a glass of wine and our room keys. The rooms were beautifully decorated and our room, the Princess Anne, had a wonderful jetted tub and rainfall shower. The spa is conveniently located 3 blocks from the beach and mid-boardwalk. We chose this place for our honeymoon. Our favorite attribution was the location; it is a few blocks from the beach, which makes it quiet and private, but the beach is within a very comfortable walking distance (2 or 3 blocks). We enjoyed the breakfast provided; it was great! Also, if you don't want to eat out all the time, there is a grocery store near by (Harris Teeter), and a full sized refrigerator and microwave in the guest pantry. After spending a whole day in the crowds at the beach, aquarium or a restaurant, it was always wonderful to come back to a non-crowded, quiet place, if you like that sort of thing. Overall a great vacation!

I really liked being able to bring my friends by and "show off " my digs! Many thanks to Greg for opening the rest of the house so I could see the other rooms...although I believe I picked the best room in the house with the Princess Anne! I liked knowing the inkeepers were a phone call away! but also loved the fact that I felt "alone" in the solitude of your outstanding inn! Everyone was very attentive to my needs and questions! If I had any questions I knew how to reach them and also could hold a conversation at breakfast!~ Breakfast was out of this world! As the mother of a toddler I am pleased with ANYTHING that ANYONE else prepares for me! Greg & Yvonne, I cannot begin to share enough adjectives to describe our extreme delight in amenities and overall hospitality we experienced during our stay. The personal services were beyond compare as were the accommodations. It would prove to be an added convenience to have additional guests services, i.e. bottled water, ice or evening snacks, however it wasn't out of the way to get your own. That made us feel more like we were home away from home. The intercom would be awesome to negate using personal cell phones to speak with innkeepers. All the meals were delicious and yes, out of this world; Prahbasa and Rudrani went above and beyond the call to make our stay comfortable. Their flexibility was more that we could ask for. We did use the pool both day and night, all was adequate for our needs. Everything was done in excellence, all the more making my mom's 70th birthday a great success. Should the innkeepers be readily available to answer questions or is the ability to call them on cell phones appropriate? They were always available when we need questions answered. I greatly enjoyed my stay at the Beach Spa Bed and Breakafst. My best friend of nearly 30 years I met in Virginia Beach for a weekend away from the husbands. It's a great spot for a girl's weekend. The innkeepers were very friendly and pleasant to deal with. Our room and the public areas were spotless and very comfortable. The breakfasts were wonderful. Everthing we had was tasty. As advertised the B&B is about 3 very walkable blocks from the boardwalk and beach. The massage I booked was to die for. I recommend giving the spa services a try. I will certainly stay here again.

We enjoyed a wonderful weekend (our first) in Viriginia Beach and your B&B. Your Innkeepers were wonderful. Interesting, helpful and quite talented in the kitchen. Joe and I enjoyed the whirlpool and the entire property was lovely and well maintained. I felt a little adventurous hunting down a hair dryer and ice, but everything was in the pantry and it was very nice to be able to store our water and ice cream in the fridge. The restaurant suggestions were very helpful and leaving menus in the pantry was a good idea. You're close to the beach and we enjoyed our walks everyday. Our visit was too short and we hope to return soon. There isn't much I would change, except there was a little confusion about coffee and tea service in the morning but by the second day we figured out what to do. Thank you again for your hospitality and for conceiving such a lovely place.

I didn't enjoy the food (being that I am a picky eater) there should be more choices. I have experienced where everyone eats together so that you are meeting other people that stay there as well and that didn't seem to be a choice. A cozier front entrance would be nice too. My husband and I went for our honeymoon. We stayed in the Princess Anna suite, it was amazing. We watched the sunset from out balcony, lounged in the spa pool downstairs, and spent time in the large jetted tub and the spa shower. We had a wonderful time. And in the morning I was allergic to what was on the menu for breakfast, so they made me my own special dish which I thought was extremely considerate. It was probably the best experience I have had.

First, let me say that we had an awesome time on Carlton's 40th Birthday retreat. We enjoyed the wonderful outdoor hot tub, Carlton is still talking about his massage. The rooms have a very exotic zen feel to them which transports you to somewhere else. When we laid in bed each night we could not believe that we were in Virginia Beach. The sisal rug tickled our feet, the soothing sea foam green walls, the sheets & towels were soft as butter. I would not endorse Ipod alarm clocks because it takes away from the tranquil zone of the room. I think those small high tech items can be set aside for a few days of R&R. The high speed INTERNET access is more than enough to keep you in touch with the real world. The only thing that I would change is more food! I know your Establishment is call Beach Spa and Breakfast but we were so disappointed when we ate at local restaurants and the food was pale in comparison to our totally scrumptious breakfast that was prepared fresh just for us every morning!!! That is our only request. If you add dinner we would probably drive down every day just to eat!!! Thanks for making our first time so special. Sharon

I took my bofriend here for his birthday in february. The weather was great and we were able to injoy the hot tub, which was fantastic. Greg was great and very personable so it made us feel right at home, he was also vary understanding, we were late due to traffic comming from out of town and he kindly still met with us and gave us a tour without any rush or any hesitation. This was one of the cleanest places we have ever stayed, and a very quiet and relaxing experience. We appreciated that it was smoke-free and "eco" friendly. We loved the thick spa towels and would have liked the same luxury in the bath area. However, the bath towels were okay. The innkeepers were friendly and accommodating. It was nice to have access to a refrigerator, ice/water, and a microwave. The gourmet breakfast was a pleasant experience and very delicious, but a bit small for those who like a hearty meal in the morning. Cookies and limeade provided mid-day were a nice touch. We hope to stay at Beach Spa B&B again in the future.

Traveling from overseas in February, my husband and I REALLY needed a place to relax before we continued on our vacation. We stayed in the Pinewood Room 3 nights - it was spacious, clean and the bed was dreamy! The steam shower was out of this world; the owners are incredibly friendly and the gourmet breakfast was top notch!! Cleanliness and detailed attention to your comfort needs is the name of the game at this B&B! This was an anniversary present from our daughters. They knew that my husband and I would appreciate this present as I used to manage a Bed and Breakfast in Cardiff, Ca. (San Diego) for 4 years and would enjoy the experience. Being on the receiving side of a B&B stay was absolutely wonderful. The only criticism that I would have is to provide larger bath towels for bathing use as my husband and I had to use the spa towels because the bath towels were small and not very "fluffy". My husband would have enjoyed a more traditional breakfast although I loved what was served to us. Rudrani and Probasa were very hospitable and so very nice. It is apparent as to how hard they work keeping everything in order. My husband and I will definately return as soon as we can.

My Husband and I just came down for a small getaway in the middle of the week. We were very impressed with the room, and the "spa" bathrooms. We both loved the hot tub outdoors. The only thing I would suggest is that in the Princess Anne room, to put a shower curtain up between the toliet area and the shower area. The shower sprays into the rest of the area and gets everything all wet and could cause some water damage to that beautiful room!

We were a bit put off by being locked into our section of our building at night. We couldn't access the refrigerator, and post-marathon hydration was important. Also, breakfast was incredible, but the portions were small and left us hungry again almost immediately.

Everything about our stay was completely perfect. The rooms were even better than we could have imagined. The breakfasts were nothing less than perfect. The ammenities (the pantry and jacuzzi/hot tub) were so nice. The decor was neither under done nor over done. Simple, clean and classic lines in every nook and cranny! Finally, the hosts (Rudrani and Prabhasa) could not have been kinder or more gentle souls. They truly made the experience even better. We honestly cannot stop recommending this B&B. Our only recommendation (and this may have to do with our inexperience) was that the temperature in the hot tub/jacquzzi was on the cool side especially since we were there during a cold spell in April. This absolutely could have been a user error. Again...nothing less than perfection!

My wife and I came to the beach at the last moment but can tell you we so enjoyed our stay. The people were wonderful and even the other guests we so nice to be around. I am sure that we will be there again in the future.

I booked the Beach Spa Bed & Breakfast for my family and bridal party who came into town for my daughters wedding. It was a great experience for me as my family was treated so well. The wonderful spa showers, the food, the beautiful rooms,the hot tub, the pleasant innkeeper are some of the experiences I heard while my family was visiting. Some people stayed on longer and enjoyed the beach and the events. This experience at the B&B just added to my daughter's beautiful wedding!
