My husband & I stayed here summer of 2009. We purposely went on a Monday, both to secure a low rate & to hopefully avoid crowds. It worked! We got a killer deal & had the entire house to ourselves. The owners live in the little house immediately next door, and are there if you need them, but we didn't - so we were left blissfully to ourselves until the next morning at breakfast. I recommend the Rim View Room, where we stayed. It has a jacuzzi tub & great views, a small fridge, little sitting area & fabulous views - even from the bathroom. (The French Room is huge, but it's in the basement & has limited views.) There's a nice living room with huge fireplace to hang out in downstairs, and you can go into the kitchen & make coffee or tea 24/7 & sip it in the dining area, living room, or rockers on the back deck or front porch. There's also another nice sitting area in the backyard - all with soothing views of the pines. It was nice having such beauty & privacy & so many places to relax and hang out. A hot breakfast is served in the morning in the cute dining area with bay window looking out onto the front porch. I just wish we'd been able to stay longer. If they have good summer rates again next year we'll probably head back - hopefully by then the budget crunch will be over & the Tonto Bridge State Park will be open.

What a perfect getaway. My husband and I celebrated our anniversary here and were truly blessed. The atmosphere was charming, the rooms were clean and quaint, the breakfast was worth it alone (YUM!), the hosts were so kind and thorough and we will definitely be back.

Spent a weekend here and I can't say enough about the humble service provided by our hosts. If you are looking for a quiet, close, value oriented B&B this is the place. Breakfasts were enough to keep a lumberjack full, rooms were clean, all had jacuzzi tubs, and nice views. The town of Pine, while small, offers plenty of activity close by, good restaurants from Payson to Strawberry. I'm heading back every chance I get.
