The White Porch Inn is a very nice and cozy house. The rooms are not so big but perfectly decorated and very comfortable. The owners were friendly and make sure you feel very welcome. Perfect house -- I would come back.

We had a great time at the White Porch- the entire staff went out of their way to make the stay comfortable and effortless. The Inn itself is beautiful and well-appointed. All the charms of an old home with all of modern amenities - including central a/c. We thought it was excellent from the easy online reservation to parking to checkout. It's on the higher price end, so I wouldn't rank it as exceptional value, but it wasn't overpriced either and it certainly did not disappoint and we will stay there again!

The host and staff were welcoming, gracious and expert at creating a casual, relaxing ambience for guests. Although the guest house is small, what really impressed us was the ability to be as social or as private as one wished. The location is quiet and 1/2 block from the main street; the rooms are spotless and reminiscent of Celebrity or SeaDream yacht cabins. Breakfast was always fresh, generous and cheery. This was my 5th trip to P-Town, but the first time I stayed at the White Porch Inn, and definitely not the last! I was so pleasantly surprised by the spacious room with cathedral style ceiling, an abundance of natural light, high quality furnishings, and the most comfortable bed besides my own. Overall, the Inn was stylish, warm, & enjoyable. The food was amazing. Prepared fresh every morning...blueberry pancakes, waffles, omelets...and in the evenings, wine and freshly baked goodies were always available...it was all fabulous. Entire inn is stylishly decorated in neutral tones. My room was small/snug but with beautiful decor, absolutely spotless, quiet and with a nice view. I would book this room again even though it is smaller than other rooms because it gave off a very warm cosy vibe. Thomas the innkeeper is a charming host and he puts on a good continental breakfast buffet. I would only suggest that he expand the hot breakfast - perhaps offer bacon or sausages along with the pancakes. The location is fantastic - a quiet side street right off the main street in P'town.

We just stayed at the White Porch Inn April 25th - 26th, 2009 and highly recommend staying there. While still in the off-season, but with beautiful warm weather, we were lucky to find 2 rooms available when we arrived in Provincetown. Although we were impressed by their Web site, Thomas was even more gracious in showing us the available rooms to make sure we were satisfied, and even offered to help us if we were looking for different types of accommodations. The decor was exquisite ("beach chic" to coin Thomas' phrase), and thankfully not Victorian. We stayed in the second floor front room, which had a jacuzzi tub and flat screen TV. The living areas on the first floor and spacious porch were all beautifully decorated and very inviting for lounging on a lazy Sunday morning. We very much appreciated Thomas' helpfulness with last minute dinner reservations and entertainment ideas, as well as allowing us to leave our car parked in one of their spots after checkout so we could continue roaming around town. Overall, the inn reflected the owners' character and personality - warm, inviting and very enjoyable.

This past weekend my partner and I traveled to Ptown to celebrate her 40th birthday. We took a chance and stayed at the White Porch Inn. It was the best decision we could have made. They went out of their way to put special touches in our room to make my partner's birthday special. The Inn is beautiful and clean. The innkeepers are so friendly and welcoming. In fact they even sat on the porch with the guests, sipped wine, and chatted. Just delightful. It was steps away from Commercial Street. A prime location. We will definately stay again. It is worth the trip to Ptown for this wonderful B&B experience that embraces both the women's and men's communities.

You won't find more a more hospitable and comfortable atmosphere. Breakfast was casual but the food was excellent. Happy hour on the porch is lovely. We had the smallest room but it was impeccable and clean. They provided beach towels, umbrellas and sunscreen for our beach trips. I would stay here again and recommend it to others.

My boyfriend and I had such a wonderful time staying at the White Porch Inn in Provincetown. The proprietors, Tom and Thomas, as well as the other staff were so friendly and accommodating, and they made us feel at home. They were very helpful in recommending places to eat and things to do and even joined us on the porch for some wine. The breakfast was delicious and included fresh fruit as well as occasional made to order eggs and blueberry pancakes. The entire house was immaculate and very comfortable and relaxing. Though the B&B is located right in the center of all the action, the rooms remained very quiet. It was no different than any other "new" inn. They gutted the entire inside of the guesthouse...destroying woodwork that dated back into the 1800s; they opened the entire downstairs thereby destroying whatever intimacy the house had prior. What an "oxymoron" to provide air conditioning, flat pannel tvs, fireplaces in a town like Provncetown where the real beauty lies in walking about and enjoying the ocean, sand and the people. It's nice and expensive and suitable for middle-aged, gay men who have money to burn, and who hide themselves admist luxury; but, it is a sad indicator when such abodes inhibit anyone younger who does not have the bucks to burn. The owners were friendly and helpful and efficient which, when you admit to it, is both the antithesis and an anathema to the "Rasion d Etre" of a guesthouse.

All previous reviews are true! The third host, Tom, was also in house, and the 3 of them went out of their way to make our stay perfectly delightful. We also enjoyed the international company from England, Germany, and Shanghai on the porch during cocktail hour. We saw 8 humpbacks on the whale watch, a glorious sunset at the beach, and the breakfasts by Martin were outstanding. Thomas picked us up and delivered us from and to the airport and the dock, so we didn't need a car to get anywhere, including nearby downtown shopping and restaurants within walking distance. The hosts are incredibly accommodating and friendly. The renovations were tastefully done and include high-end everything, while maintaining the old New England traditions.

The rooms are modern and clean with excellent decorating, the main house offers the comforts of home, while the company is like that of old friends. We had a fantastic stay at the WPI, our room was a little bit small but so charming and beautifully decorated. Thomas and Martin made us feel welcome in this beautiful village of Provincetown. We needed a break from our active Montreal life and this was just perfect. When our 3 nights stay ended we felt like we had taken a week vacation. The weather was great, the dinning was great. Thomas recommended us a nice restaurant for our last evening that was just perfect. The restaurant is Jimmy's Hideway and we recommend anyone that goes to P-town to go have a dinner at this place. The entire place is pretty much perfect. It's evident that a ton of care went into its recent creation. The decor is very modern and stylish, without making you feel like you need to get dressed up to have breakfast, and it's still warm and beachy, as it should be in ptown. Relaxing with a cup of coffee on the porch rockers was great, as was coming home at night to chocolates on our pillows and complimentary port. Thomas and Martin were lovely-- friendly, helpful and keep the place impeccably clean. We had a great time, and will most certainly be returning when the time avails.

An amazing weekend at an amazing place. Every detail was taken into consideration, from a delicious breakfast each morning to umbrellas by the front door in case of rain. We had a wonderful time in spite of some stormy weather and even booked a return trip before we left.
