We made a last minute reservation at the Upham, explaining that we needed a quiet get away after having house guests for a few days. We were booked on the second floor of the Lincoln Bldg. The room was fine, but the noise from the property's restaurant kitchen didn't end until after 11:00 and started back up again at 6:00 a.m. We left at 7:00 a.m. and went back home.

The inn is located close to the downtown area. The onsite restaurant, Louie's, is a little pricey but the food is excellent. The staff is friendly and they offer a nice continental breakfast and afternoon wine and appetizers. The only downside is the parking lot is hard to get in and out of and is made for small vehicles.
