We stayed at the Hideaway almost 3 years ago for nearly a week for our honeymoon. It was EXACTLY what I wanted-- private, quiet, relaxing... a wonderful change from big-city life and stressful wedding planning. I would recommend it to anyone who likes to get away from it all. The only complaint I had was that our cabin had a TINY shower stall and even tinier water heater but we had a hot tub on the deck and that made up for it.

We have been to the Hideaway Ranch several times now both with family and alone just the two of us. Both have proven to be wonderful experiences. We stayed 2 nights in the Hacienda cabin celebrating our anniversary. We were soo pleased w/the entire Ranch. It was very clean and the breakfast basket was delicious with plenty of food for two. We walked the grounds, visited w/sweet Rosco (ranch dog), and all of the beautiful paint horses, longhorns, and llamas. We look forward to another stay at the Hideaway. My wife and I found the Hideaway on-line 4 years ago looking for a place to go for our anniversary. We are city people and were looking to get away from it all. A weekend at the Hacienda was just what we were looking for. We've since taken several trips with our son (who loves it), and most recently with my wife's parents. They liked it so much we are going back for new years weekend. There's a lot of outdoors-y stuff to do, but if you want to stay in and veg, the cabins and hot tubs are great. Most of all though, you won't find better hosts than Traci, Jason, and the kids - they're friendly and down to earth, and Jason can cook like a son of a somebody - don't miss the weekend cookouts. Really a great way to spend some time away from real life. Wish we could find a way to get down there more often.

My husband and I have been going to this place since June of 1997. Well, at first it was the three of us, which then included our daughter, who is now married and expecting her second child. Instantly we loved this place, which is so clean, so private, so much to do if you love the country like we do: swimming, Jacuzzi, and taking in nature. Since our daughter has been married, though, we always go alone now. My husband and I try to go near our anniversary each year in July, which is our gift to each other. I always tell him, I want a memory -- not a thing for our anniversary. Needless to say, he's given me memories by going and loving it himself. Our lives seem so hectic sometimes and it's wonderful to just get away in the peace and quiet of the countryside. We both love Traci, who is the best Innkeeper ever, such a sweet young lady with loads of hospitality. And it looks like we started something that is being passed on. The minute we met Traci, the owner, we knew we were in for a wonderful weekend. My husband and I went with our two boys (6 and 4) and had a blast!! They enjoyed doing all the activities that the area had to offer, but could not wait to get back to "the cabin". We took hikes and had visits from the horses and dog (the boys favorite part!) We were already planning our next visit before we left. We want to spend more time on the ranch, horseback riding and fishing. Everyone in the family can not wait to go back. This is the greatest little place. It's quiet and secluded. The rooms were VERY clean and stocked very well. Traci is just sooo very nice and couldn't be sweeter. We loved our stay. I got the "celebration package" for my boyfriend's birthday and it was well worth the money- such a great surprise! The breakfast basket was delicious, and the kitchen had all the utensils and appliances to cook anything you want! Looking at maps I was somewhat worried that I hadnt planned ahead and grocery shopped before I went, seemed like the nearest store would be a long drive- but it wasnt. The hot tub was great, wildlife was great, cabin was secluded but would have a bit more traffic in the summertime (the pool is right across from this cabin, when we visited in January it was closed). One tip I have is to make sure to reserve a time early if you want to go horseback riding. We tried to schedule a ride Saturday morning for later that day and they were all booked up. I definitely recommend The Hideaway and will be back for sure!

This was a Perfect Romantic get away for me and my boyfriend of two years. Complete Privacy, the sunset and the stars were amazing. The cabin was a dream come true, like a doll house. The inn keepers Jason and Traci and there family were so kind, pleasant and gracious to be around. Even the animals made it a joy, especially being greeted by Roscoe the dog, he actually showed us the way to the office. We loved our experience so much that we booked the following weekend, we even brought another couple to enjoy the experience with us. We only had one day to enjoy the cabin and property but it was a wonderful escape from the Dallas/Forth Worth area. The cabin was clean and comfortable, and breakfast basket was perfect. Traci and the whole 'staff' were very welcoming, and if you're lucky, you'll even get visited by the llamas. We are going back as soon as we find the time.

There's no better place on the planet to escape the stresses of the city and unwind. I loved that POOL and am after my huband to get me one just like it! Even with my broken foot we were able to do all that we had planned, and believe me we did alot! The Hideaway is close to all the fun things to do in and aroud Glenrose. Traci is a darling and friendly person and so are the rest of the extended family including the animals ! And speaking of animals we saw everything ! We loved all the deer . Fossil Rim was a great hit (we went early in AM) and all the animals were very active.I hope someday we can return and alot of our friends hope they get to go too ! Thanks Hideaway !

Hideaway Ranch was a wonderful place to have our family together but in separate cabins. Each cabin was distinctly unique and special. We brought groceries and did our own cooking so I couldn't really rate the dining. However, our hosts served us wonderful watermelon, lemonade, and cowboy coffee the night of our birthday party get-together. The children loved the animals, games, and wagon ride. We all enjoyed sitting around the campfire singing cowboy songs. This ranch is an "experience" and not just a lodging. I had never seen a baby Longhorn! The ranch is located in the Texas Hill Country of Texas and has some breath-taking scenes. You will just have to visit where you can tell your own story. Our family also enjoyed visiting nearby Dinosaur World and Dinosaur Park while we were there. Lots of fun!!

This place it wonderful! The cabins are wonderful and secluded. The owners are simple outstanding! Jason gave a great horseback/trail riding adventure and the Longhorn beef was delicious!! We will be back again as soon as possible. Thanks for providing a top notch experiece at such a great cost!

The hideaway cabins offer a vacation getaway only an hour away from downtown Dallas. Our short drive is just enough time to listen to our fav cd's and get caught up w/the week. When we arrive, Traci's greetings makes it so easy to feel at home. The 1st plunge into the hot jacuzzi melts all the stress from the big city and relaxes the senses to really enjoy the time w/friends and family.

We had a delightful stay in the romantic Hacienda during the cold front April 17th & 18th. Could see the lightning-packed storms from the hot tub blowing in for 25 miles? from 3 directions. Also entertained by the birds, humming birds & butterflies from our tree-top view point. Take the trails and you will run into lots of criitters-horses, llamas, longhorns. Love the attitude & flexibily of gracious hosts Traci & Jason; breakfast or not? Fine. 1 nite stay? Fine. Special requests? Fine. My husband says thanks for the satelitte tv!

We were looking for a relaxing weekend away from all the chaos and found that here at the Ranch. The cabins were beyond what we expected and provided all the modern conveniences we could have desired. Decided on a spur of the moment to spend a night out alone. Called Hideaway and they had a cabin available. Arrived, checked in and then did some shopping in Glen Rose. Went to dinner and came back to a relaxing evening in the country.

You have to see it to believe it! We had a wonderful time. The hot tubs are so relaxing and the privacy is unbelievable. Be sure to get a massage! My wife absolutely loved it! The owners are the nicest most friendly people ever! This was our second visit. The first was our honeymoon and this visit was for our 5th anniversary, You can bet we won't wait 5 years again!

My wife, daughter and I had a wonderful time over spring break at the Hideaway Ranch. We stayed in the LineShack which was a nice and private cabin. This is a great place to relax, go on hikes or just grap a spot next to one of the many ponds and do some catfishing. This was the 1st of many visits to come for us.

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our weekend stay at The Hideaway. The view of the stars on a clear crisp night from the back deck, sitting in the hottub, was the highlight of our stay. A simple highlight, yes, but we were mesmerized by the angelic view of the heavens. The Hideaway really is "hidden" away from the hustle and bustle of the city activity and lights. We'll definitely come back again.

We have stayed at the Hideaway Ranch 3 times now. Twice in the Hacienda & once in the Lineshack. Both cabins are exceptional, like everyone has said the Hacienda's view is exceptional. Jason & Traci are the nicest people and are great host. This is an awesome place. The swimming pool is also great. We got a visit from their pet cat each evening and it just made itself at home. If you get a chance, go try out a local restaurant called the Loco Coyote, this place is great, but get there early in the evening if you do not want to wait long. This place is definitely a place to visit whether you are on a romantic weekend trip or a family vacation. We will definitely keep going back to the ranch in years to come.

This is the best place to escape to if you're tired of the hustle and bustle of your everyday workweek. My husband and I have been going since June of '97. In the beginning, our daughter and her dog would go. Now she's grown and married and goes with her husband to get away from it all. It's so pleasant, so tranquil, beautiful country and private. We love to swim, relax in our private hot tub, take walks, cook out, enjoy the animals, be lazy for a change, and you see more stars at nighttime that one could ever imagine seeing. Traci, the innkeeper, is so wonderful. About one of the nicest persons that I've ever met. This place is so special to us that we sometimes go twice a year. I wish that I could go right now.
