My experience with Alla's marvelous cooking is beyond my biggest expectation! The European dinners cuisine is like nothing I have ever experienced even here in Germany. Your preparation of the food reminds me of how my parents did it in the old days before the war; truly from scratch! We had a fantastic stay at Alla's B&B. We had a warm welcome and warm treats waiting for us upon our arrival. We were meeting with friends staying in Dallas all week long, and this was an easy less than 15 minute trip to Dallas. We went with 2 other couples and had the whole house to ourselves. We have stayed at many B&B and this ranks among the top. Breakfast was amazing, go for it, do not miss out on the organic breakfast. This is a must have. My mom and I stayed at Alla's Bed and Breakfast and were blown away with how amazing the whole experience was! We were met with wonderful hospitality and from the moment we walked in we felt like we had walked into the home of a long time friend. We felt very well taken care of, catered to, and welcomed. As I had a two Month business trip in the Dallas area, I preferred a B&B to a hotel. I couldn't have imagined a better place to stay. Both Alla and Rick did whatever possible to make my stay as European as possible, Alla even asked what my favorite dishes were and checked out the recipes over the internet to serve them the next day by surprise, not to mention the pleasant discussions we had with a good Belgian beer. My husband and I were in Dallas for the Cowboys first home game in their new stadium and decided to look for an alternative to a hotel room. Places were narrowed down by price and location. Alla's B&B is a peaceful hideaway in the middle of a city. The home is cozy and the beds are like sleeping on a slice of heaven! I was coming all the way from Singapore to Dallas the first time - that's a 26 hours flight and had about 8 hours delay at the transit airport - to receive Alla's warm hug at the end of that long flight at the coziest home was so much appreciated indeed. Both Rick and Alla were such warm friendly people that makes me welcomed in Dallas right away. Alla have such a beautiful heart and a sincere care and interest for people. I had wonderful chats with her with some very good wine on many nights that I was there. I got to meet many new people as well. Alla is a wonderful hostess. She is fun to talk to with a thoughtful and gregarious personality. Her husband is equally interesting and we enjoyed learning about his antiques and love of them. The B&B itself is in on a quiet street and feels secluded. It is filled with unique and interesting antiques from furnishings to bathroom fixtures and even light bulbs. The house and kitchen were spotless (Alla takes her position as hostess seriously) and the bed and pillows were very comfortable. Our breakfasts were tasty, filling and nutritious and for our one dinner we enjoyed the best cooked salmon ever. The spa was the icing on the cake of a wonderful evening of food, friends and music. My husband and I were given the B&B gift certificate from my mother "Tess." We were trying to get moved and married before my husbands sudden deployment. My mom insisted that we take time for ourselves and she treated us. We were dead tired, physically exhausted from moving and needed to relax and enjoy ourselves. I surprised him with a stay at Alla's vs. a hotel and we LOVED the relaxing stay at this quiet haven. Alla's enchanting personality, the welcoming hug, the stories including the romantic way she and Rick met, made the stay that much more personal. Oh yes, we can't forget the wonderful dinner and breakfast. This retreat was EXACTLY what my husband and I needed.

What a treat for us to spend one night at Alla's B&B. She was so welcoming and fun! They have a saying on their wine glasses "come as strangers, leave as friends." That truly sums up how we felt about Alla and Rick. We really enjoyed their comfortable home and company. The breakfast was wonderful!!! She made us feel loved and refreshed! We will be back.

My husband and I were so fortunate to stumble across this wonderful bed and breakfast. We were not sure what to expect, but upon arriving we were greeted by our new friends, Alla and Rick, and had a marvelous time from beginning to end. The home is immaculate and the antiques are amazing, along with Alla's cooking. You will leave on a VERY full stomach, with lots of new stories and 2 new friends, and a place to come back to!

This is our very first B&B experience and we are so happy! The house is full of amazing antiques (Edison bulbs from 100 years ago, Gramophone, etc.). Order the organic breakfast, you can have the american one any day at Denny's. The breakfast crepes were just amazing. The homemade jam in the yogurt was unbelievable. Hosts Rick and Alla were warm and affectionate, we had a wonderful time. Definitely would go back again, maybe with more friends!

My fiance and I stayed at Alla's B&B for the Cotton Bowl. We didn't know what to expect as we have never stayed at a B&B, but found our stay to be more fun and entertaining than staying at a hotel! I made a reservation at Alla's Bed and Breakfast as a surprise for my husband's birthday. We had already had a rough day when we arrived at Alla's. We were greeted with a glass of wine and amazing homemade hors d'oeuvres fresh out of the oven. We chit chatted with Alla and her husband and they made us feel so welcomed and uplifted. The room was very cozy and the breakfast the next morning was phenomenal! I would recommend Alla's to anyone and everyone.

As a business traveler, I typically stay in hotels. i am really glad while in the Dallas are I have a new place to stay - Alla's. From the 1920's decor, comfortable and clean rooms to the outstanding breakfasts and company, staying at Alla's was great. I don't even know where to begin raving about this place -- from the amazing food that makes you want to lick your plate to Alla's fascinating stories about her home country (she is from Ukraine) as well as her adventures here in the States -- are a delectable treat to any traveler. The rooms are soaked with antique charm, since the innkeeper has gone out of her way to preserve and re-create the spirit of her 1920s house -- yet she also seems to have added a hint of modernization that weaves so perfectly into an impeccable picture of coziness and simplicity. The breakfast table alone deserves to have books written about it!!! I have stayed in several all-inclusive resorts around the US and abroad, and nothing compares with what Alla can whip out in the kitchen! From fresh-squeezed juices to custom-order eggs and crepes with homemade jams, she surpasses French bistros and German pastry shops alike!! I was absolutely impressed with how she was able to re-create these dishes so perfectly!! Her European roots truly show through in the kitchen -- there is absolutely no doubt about it!! This is definitely a place that I will come back to many, many more times! Thank you so much, Alla!

We loved the fact that we could rent out the entire house and use the grill on the porch. The furnishings are all unique antiques, and the owners are just as unique! Alla is friendly and willing to cater to your needs. She also loves to tell stories! :) Excellent breakfasts...one thought is that the second morning's breakfast could have been varied from the morning before, but was still healthy and tasty. The best part about this bed and breakfast is the hostess-Alla! She is amazing and intriguing, and makes you forget about all the worries in your life. My husband and I come to this b&b often, and it makes us feel like we are miles away from home-even though we live only 30 minutes away. The food is amazing-all organic and tastes great. Her bacon is the only bacon I eat since I do not normally eat pork. The beds are soft, and the b&b is true to the antique period; from the antique toilet to the antique refrigerator and grammaphone. I recently visted with a group of friends and we talked on the antique phones and relaxed on the front porch. I recommend this place for people looking for a b&b in Dallas. Its affordable and its the best one we have been to. Bests!

This was my 1st stay at a B&B and I cant believe what I've been missing out on. When you arive Alla gives you such a warm welcoming. You feel right at home with great company. The house is a treasure in itself. There is so much to see inside and history thru out. The bathroom was clean and well kept, fully stocked with everything you need, unlike a hotel. The room was wonderful and cozy. The bedroom was very clean and soo much detail was given, very lovely.

We have stayed in lovely Bed & Breakfasts from San Fransisco to the Hampton - but this was the best one ever! Alla's warmth and love was evident in every details - she gave us so many beautiful memories and made our family feel so special and well cared for! She fed us the most delicious made from scratch breakfasts and snacks. Our favorites are the crepes and the sweet potato home - fries. And we can't forget the remarkable Rick who's enthusiasm and expertise fills the house with the most precious authentic & functional antiques! P.S.: Don't forget to ask Alla to play her gramophone! Dear Alla, What an unforgettable way to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary! Thank you for opening your home to us - for we felt part of the family and yet you gave us the choice for privacy which made it all seen like well, we felt like royalty!smile We couldn't belive the "opener" - borscht! Immediately, a flood of memories came to us. We felt my ( Erna's) Ukrainian leritage was put on a pedastole and I wished my parents could have experienced it too.
