If you're looking for the best place to stay, you've found it. The home is beautiful and relaxing, warm and inviting. The food was so impressive, we took pictures, and the sight doesn't match the taste! The scenery and 30+ deer crossing we saw were wonderful. The beds were the most comfortable I've ever slept in. Aside from that, the hosts, Ed and Sue, make a special place even better! They always go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. From the 'forgotten toiletries' to the 'smores kit' to use at their firepit in the woods. Not to mention the Friday pot of soup / stew on full house Fridays or the comlimentry coffee and wine. Now for the downside of going to Wilde Oaks: You have to eventually leave!

Words cannot explain the beauty of this place and the impecable service. We can't wait to go back! The food is amazing. They make you feel so at home. I would spend every weekend here if I could!

It was our last night in Albion and we were exhousted from packing and moving. Ed and Sue were extremely gracious and so helpful. We were the only guests, but we never felt like we were imposing. The hot tub was just what we needed for aching muscles. The bed was fabulous-such a good sleep-and the breakfast was wonderful. It was a great experience!

My wife and I stayed with some of our friends at Wilde Oaks Guest Suites on Saturday February 21st. Warm, plush, and polished spaces await inside this lovingly cared-for home. Ed and Susan keep this lovely dwelling immaculately clean and truly invest in your happiness with their attentiveness. The sauna and hot tub are lovely, especially in the snowy serenity of the winter woods. We stayed in the Balcony Suite which is more than adequate for a couple, furnished with high-pile carpet and a bed like a cloud. Since we were staying with friends, we saw all the other rooms, which are equally breathtaking. The Dragonfly Suite is a dream for those who want a truly secluded retreat; located at one end of the bottom floor it is beautifully and comfortably furnished and has a spiral stair-case accessing a comfy loft that is chock full of books (there are plenty of good books to read all throughout the house, as well as a great collection of dvds). The Shaman's Dream Suite has its own raised deck from which we watched a herd of at least 30 deer walking leisurely through the woods at dusk! It was amazing! I could spend this entire review space just talking about breakfast! Sue cooked scrambled eggs infused with a touch of pepper and rosemary, bacon, decadent texas-sized french toast with apple cider syrup, and a parfait of sliced pears and cranberry jelly served with a russian cream sauce! DELICIOUS! My wife and I have been dreaming of that breakfast for nearly a month since and we cannot wait to go back! When enter Wilde Oaks, all your worries are checked at the door!

It's the best when you walk in on your second visit and are greeted with, "Welcome home!". This truely is home away from home. The breakfasts are so amazing, I've never experianced anything like it. Sue and Ed really do their best to make your favorites and make you feel happy and welcome. It really is Albion's best kept secret, and I can't wait to go back again!!!

I first stayed at Wilde Oakes last winter and have been blessed with the chance to stay once again this fall. Both times Ed and Sue went above and beyond to accommodate. The reviews do not lie! They welcome you from the moment you arrive until the moment you leave. They offer every ammenity you can't even think of yourself..Chocolate bars sprinkled throughout your room, robes and slippers, the softest and most comfortable beds and bedding, anything you have forgotten they provide. Sue is an amazing chef and even provides you the recipes to try once you arrive back home. They have an extensive library of books and DVD's, even a new, gorgeous television to view them on. There is not one hotel that can compare to this outstanding B&B. I will only stay here when I am looking for accommodations in this area. It is absolutely worth every penny to me to have this high level of comfort and care given to me while I am away from my home and family!

We rented the whole inn and had a scrapbooking extravaganza! It was awesome! Highlights started with curb-side service, excellent accomodations including common area for cropping, more food than we could posibly consume, big screen for watching favorite movies, hot tub for relaxing those tired muscles, sauna, fire pit and smores for a late night snack, and a professional massuse that was on-call. It was such an amazing weekend that we can't wait to come back!

Every need was anticipated at this magical get away! We were off to a great start as we were greeted with warmth and offered chocolate and/or a liquor. The deer surrounding the home, the swing for reading and cell phone calls and a nice walk around the neighborhood were a delight. But, the best of the stay was the fabulously tasty gourmet breakfasts and the equally amazing conversations with the hosts and guests. It brought the best out in all. Easy bike ride into town added to its appeal. I only regret I didn't have more house time to luxuriate in the hot tub and watch a movie from their ample selection. I will be back!

My college roommate and I were going back to Albion College for our 25th Reunion. We found Wild Oaks Guest Suites, just a few minutes from Albion's Campus on the edge of beautiful woods for their backyard. There were even deer there, I saw later that day! There is a nice little trail in the back with a place for a fire if you'd like, complete with fixings for smores! There is a large covered jacuzzi in the back, which we did not have time to use. A lovely patio with pretty flowers and dainty patio lights. I used the infared sauna, which was new and clean, and used a guest robe located in each room. There is a large selection of DVD's and books. Each room is artistically planned and comfortable with new, colorful, crisp bedding, chairs, TV with satelite and bedroom suites. I was in the Tranquility Suite, which was had a full bedroom set in one room a twin bed/furniture in the other. We shared one bathroom. One suite had a full kitchen, walk out porch overlooking the wooded backyard, and sitting room with pullout couch. The other suite had a staircase leading to a loft sitting area. All were tastefully decorated, as was the rest of the home. The breakfasts were presented very artistically, and were fresh and healthy with garden quiche (veggies from their garden!), fruits, whole grain breads, coffees, and teas, and filtered water. Sue had made fresh carrot cake muffins one afternoon, that she also sent home with us, as a snack for the road. Sue and Ed built this home themselves, and it is a labor of love they now share genuinely with their guests. It was a delightful weekend with my roommate, the new friends who stayed at Wild Oaks that weekend, also for their reunions, and Sue and Ed. Thank you for the great memories, friendly and gracious service, warm and artistically charming home, and delicious gourmet breakfasts and snacks. I hope to go back with my husband next time! What a Gift!

I stayed for only one night but felt like part of the family; Sue and Ed manage to make this happen while at the same time, they absolutely do not invade my space! This house is beautifully and tastefully decorated, with every wall and every corner presenting some surprise or some interesting piece of art or nature, which can lead to some great conversations over coffee or wine. Sue is an inventive and original chef; she and Ed provide every comfort and convenience anyone could want. I found the whole experience magical.

We were visiting friends in the area and picked out this lovely Inn. What a find! The hosts Susan & Ed were very friendly and interesting. The hosts engaged in some wonderful informative conversations. The breakfast was superb and imaginative. Now the room: never have I seen such lavish amenities and room accents. From the teas and coffees, and other snacks to the beautiful towel displays including books, videos, writing desks all in our suite. This welcoming place is worth a repeat visit and definitely worth raving about. The gardens and gazebo make this Inn a relaxing vacation. Thank you Susan and Ed. Lou & Chuck - Hercules, California

My sister and I stayed at Wilde Oaks for a girls getaway weekend. The B&B was very cute and well-kept, the food was delicious and our catered to our every need. We spent a day having spa treatments right at the B&B, they did everything they could to accomodate us. It was a perfect weekend and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing getaway.

My husband and I have stayed at B&B's before, but this was by far our best experience at one ever. We came with some friends that were a little apprehensive at first, since in was their first time. The atmosphere, caring inn keepers, and wonderful food all left no doubts in anyone's mind that we will all definitely be back. The thing that really stood out the most, was how comfortable Sue and Ed made you feel. You definitely got the impression that this is more than just a job, it is thier calling in life. One of the things that I appreciated the most, was that our stay was very affordable. Sue and Ed lavished us with surroundings and attention that you would only expect at much more expensive resorts. One last thing that really stood out to us was that we rode over on our motorcycles, and Sue and Ed were gracious enough to let us store them in the garage. This was greatly appreciated, especially since we got quite a bit of rain that weekend.

Dear Sue and Ed, Thank you for a wonderful mid-week break. Our stay relaxed and rejuvenated us, reinvigorated us, and – most importantly – gave us the opportunity to just be ‘me & he’! Our first stay at a B&B was the Dragonfly Suite at Wilde Oaks. It was a lovely experience in a beautiful setting with charming hosts. The breakfast presentation was a work of art and so delicious. Our room was exactly as promised with many amenities that were appreciated. The loft is a unique place to relax after a long day or curling up with a good book. Sue and Ed are welcoming and gracious hosts. Sue even held and quieted our fussy 2 month old daughter so that we could eat breakfast together as a couple! What kind service! The accommodations are comfortable and relaxing. Our suite was perfect for our family - far enough away from others to not worry about our baby waking anyone else at night, enough room for the baby gear, complete with everything we needed, and luxurious as a retreat. The food was delightful and delicious. There were snacks and treats available and the breakfasts were elegantly served while accommodating our different diets. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
