The Little White House Bed and Breakfast
The Little White House Bed and Breakfast at The Charles Dick House was built in 1740. It is the oldest house in America's Most Historic City, Fredericksburg, Virginia. Charles Dick, a commissioner of the Revolutionary War gunnery, constructed the house on a bluff above the Rappahannock River across George Washington's boyhood home, Ferry Farm. The Dick family were close friends with the Washington and Fielding Lewis families. Presidents Calvin Coolidge, Grover Cleveland, and Adams have also visited here. The house is a featured stop on our City's Trolley Tours. Located in the Historic District, The Little White House Bed and Breakfast is within walking distance of other historic homes, such as Kenmore Plantation and Mary Washington's home.
