If you are looking for a place with both a peaceful atmosphere and lots to do if you are in the mood, this is it! I've stayed at Mountain Meadows Lodge in the fall to enjoy the Appalachian Trail that passes through the property and in the winter with my family to do some skiing at Killington and some snowshoeing, sledding and cross-country skiing at the lodge. Both times I have recieved great service, enjoyed tasty hearty meals, and felt very much at home. The hot-tub, sauna, games, game-room and cool rustic bar are a terrific bonus.

We've stayed at Mountain Meadows Lodge several times and each time it is such a pleasurable experience. There is something to do for every member of the family. There is so much to do in the surrounding area or you can just relax in the very comfortable surroundings of the Lodge. The Innkeepers and staff are extremely friendly and accomodating. It's beautiful and very clean and well kept. It's a great place!

We recently stayed overnight following a memorial service in Rutland. The staff was most accommodating. The food was excellent (over the top!). The huge fireplace provided a relaxing, romantic atmosphere. We even had a chance to snowshoe! If you want an escape and a quiet getaway, we would highly recommend the Mountain Meadows Lodge.

We spent a couple days here and in late July. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. The kids loved the animals, especially Alice the pig and Alex the Shetland pony. We were treated to a nice steak dinner outside. Then we enjoyed stargazing, a campfire, smores, and bad jokes with the owner and his family. The kayaking and canoeing on Kent Lake was the highlight. The lake is beautiful and there is a waterfall and an island to see. The room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very friendly. We highly recommend this place, especially for families.

We had the room with the fireplace. It was large and cozy. The view of the lake was wonderful. We walked part of the Appalachian trail to the waterfall which was great fun. Bill cooked dinners for us which were very good and homey. We had a great time, enjoyed all the animals as well.

During ski season the "strip" in Killington can get pretty hectic. We prefer a more secluded spot and this turned out perfect. Lake views, attentive staff...Vintage Vermont!

We just returned from a stay at the Mountain Meadow Lodge in Killington, Vermont. This was not our first visit and it will not be our last. There is a charm and calm about the property that takes you back to a simpler time in life. We went this time to see the fall foliage and were not disappointed. The beautiful views from all over the property were breathtaking. We sat in the Great Room where there was a roaring fire in the field stone fireplace and looked out over the lake surrounded by beautiful shades or yellow, red and orange. From the Lounge you look out past the barn where the sheep, goats, pony and Alice (the resident pot-bellied pig and reigning Queen of MML) roam the lawns to the slopes of Killington Mountain with the same vibrant colors. The service was great, as usual. Everyone on staff is always readily available and willing to help with all of your needs. The weekend breakfast buffet was delicious and plentiful. While dinner is not always offered the it was the two nights we were there and the food was excellent. There was even a birthday party for a guest and we all got to share in the great cake prepared by the Innkeepers. Once again we had a wonderful weekend stay and will continue to return to Mountain Meadows Lodge on a fairly regular basis.

I just recently stayed here for 2 nights for a scrapbooking weekend. It was the best weekend ever!! The staff was excellent, caring and very accommodating! The food was incredible; everything looked like it was made from scratch, not pre-packaged stuff. The animals at the lodge add so much to the charm of the place. I loved watching the sheep, goats and pony grazing on the lodge grounds. They are sweet animals and don't mind you petting them. My favorite was Alice the pot-bellied pig. She is so cute and adorable! I spent quite a few scrapbooking breaks to visit with Alice. The Lodge itself is beautiful and rustic. You feel at ease the moment you step in the lodge. Throughout the stay I felt like I was a guest in a home of a friend. The Innkeepers and staff are wonderful! I would highly recommend this to anyone looking for a charming and rustic Vermont Lodge/Inn. I highly recommend this place for scrapbooking weekends as it was perfect for scrapping and relaxing. I know I made some friends too, the Innkeepers, staff and the lodge animals! I can't wait to go back again! (I have stayed else where for scrapbooking weekends, and this place was the best of all!!)

Bill and Anne Mercier provide a wonderful setting for a relaxing long weekend. Since this was our first trip to Vermont, they had plenty of guidance for places to visit and we always had an outstanding breakfast before we left (and shared wine and conversation when we returned from dinner.) The gorgeous backdrop of Kent Lake from the balcony/deck outside our room was a pleasure to wake up to. When we have more time, we plan to return to enjoy more of the Appalachian Trail hiking and water activities that are right at their door - maybe we'll spot a moose this time!

I've stayed at this property each of the last two ski seasons, once with my teenage son and once with friends. It is very close to the Killington ski area, which for my money is the best snow skiing on the East Coast. The lodge has a comfortable, homey, rustic feel to it. The Innkeepers are fantastic - very friendly and accommodating. In addition to the included breakfast, great lunches and dinners are also available for an additional charge. Sauna and hot tub facilities are available, which is great after a day of skiing. Full bar, game room, piano room, and video room also on site. We took easily drivable day tips to Ben & Jerry's, the Trapp Family lodge and an amazing outlet town, all of which were enjoyable too. I highly recommend this B&B during the winter ski season. Looking forward to getting there during other times of the year as well.
