An economical and friendly place to stay but train times are not very frequent to the city centre.

I had a great stay at Ancestry Inn. Cynthia and Kenneth were very helpful and friendly and helped me with any questions that I had. The food was standard continental breakfast fare but nothing to write home about. I'd stay again next time I am looking for an economical BnB.

It was a very short stay but I really appreciated willingness of the host to meet us very late at night as we were coming from MD. Very clean, located within minutes from a railway station - another attraction for my daughter. Thank you very much.

We stayed at the Ancestry Inn for one night, and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The room and the bathroom had many small touches that made them feel homely, but at the same time rather opulent. At breakfast, Cynthia was kind enough to advise what one should see in Germantown. A map would have been handy, though. Breakfast consisted of fresh fruit, bagels, muffins, cornflakes, coffee, tea (sorry if I am missing anything) - quite filling. You can customize your cuppa with flavoured syrups, creamer, etc. The neighbourhood is very quite after dark, so you probably do not want to walk from the train station after dark. Overall - highly recommended!

Cynthia runs a wonderfully warm and enjoyable B&B. She's dedicated to her customers and very friendly. I've stayed at several in Philly, and hers is by far the best value.
