I wasn’t a B&B person until I stayed at Christopher’s by the Bay. We have stayed with Jim and Dave four times, for about eight nights every year, and it always feels so comfortable, that I would plan on spending my honeymoon there.
Their location between the busy commercial area and the quieter art galleries is perfect. The whole house feels so welcoming; with fresh and clean spacious rooms, cozy living-room with lots of reading material, and the back patio is a quiet place to relax, as also to meet new friends.
I care about breakfast, and I am always impressed by the variety of fruits, bagels, pastries, and some special dishes that they prepare on week-ends.
These guys are so nice; I won’t ever forget finding a bottle of wine in our room as their birthday present, once we spent a weekend at Christopher's by the Bay on that occasion. View Reviewer Info

From the moment you walk in the door, Jim & Dave, the outstanding guys who run Christopher's give you a warm welcome. They are genuinely interested in making their guests' stay a great experience. The room was beautiful, immaculately clean, and comfortable. I had a separate bath to myself, which was huge. The room had it's own sitting area, and I had my own little fridge in the bathroom. The smell of fresh baked goods fills the house a couple of times a day. The back patio is a very pleasant place (even in November) to sit and read or socialize. The other guests were cool, a range of men and women from all over. If you mention Christopher's to people in town, everyone seems to know and like Jim & Dave. And it's no wonder, they're great guys! I'll definitely stay at Christopher's whenever I come to Provincetown — if there's a room available! View Reviewer Info

I recently stayed at Christopher's by the Bay for a weekend getaway in Ptown. Given my short stay, owners Jim and Dave did a great job of making me feel at home right away. Their hospitality was generous, but not at all intrusive. The room was clean and well appointed--with a view of the harbor worth three times the price! (It was extremely reasonable, too--smaller, to be sure, but this is a guest house, not the Four Seasons.) The location was nearly perfect, quiet and steps from the heart of town. There was a relaxed, friendly feeling among the other guests, as though we were gathered in the home of mutual friends--which, by the end of the weekend, we were. I've stayed in all sorts of inns in Provincetown over the years, but for my next trip I'm definitely calling Christopher's first PS--If Dave's baking in the morning, don't miss his muffins! A visit to Provincetown can often mean an action-packed whirlwind of activities, and a very memorable visit to one of the world’s premier gay resort towns. A stay at Jim and Dave’s charming and peaceful guesthouse, Christopher’s by the Bay, provides the perfect oasis to rest, relax, and complete the picture of a perfect vacation.
Nothing quite equals the cozy charm of a New England Bed and Breakfast. Christopher’s by the Bay will surely not disappoint the critical traveler. The owner’s Jim and Dave will provide a gracious welcome to their quiet, fun, and dignified home.
The accommodations are clean and appointed with phone, television, and air conditioning. A continental breakfast is served daily with a breadth of selections. The common areas provide a comfortable place to meet and socialize with fellow guests. During the fall and winter off season, a warm fireplace, and a glass of wine just complete the picture of a relaxing long weekend away from the hustle of city life.
Christopher’s by the Bay is located within a short walking distance to all Commercial Street activities, so after relaxing at the guest house, you have easy access to all the fun that Provincetown provides to travelers from all over the world. While my stay was during the off season, as a regular Provincetown visitor I can easily see the advantages of this guest house's location. Whether it is going to the beach, lounging by a nearby pool, browsing through art galleries, admiring the street life, shopping your heart out, getting down with the night life, or just basking in the freedom and diversity Provincetown has to offer to all. I would surely recommend this guest house as a compliment to a fun-filled vacation.
