We were very much looking forward to celebrating our anniversary at the Anniversary Inn. The check-in was a nightmare! We reserved and paid online through bedandbreakfast.com. When we arrived we were told that they did have a reservation for us (in the wrong room) but they would need payment for the room. I explained that we had already paid for the room and was met with a blank "I don't care stare," and told there was nothing she could do about it. There was no manager on duty to help resolve the issue. Thank goodness I had my laptop with me I was able to show her my reservation and prove to her that the room had already been paid for. Very RUDE front desk clerk! So with that proof she let us check in without having to pay twice. Then the room was not the one we had requested but by this time I was too upset to even argue about that. The room itself was very nice and the food far exceeded my expectations. If you decide to stay there be sure to print out your reservation information and take it with you. A 30 minute check in nightmare was not the anniversary present I had in mind when I made the reservations. We did not even receive an apology for confusion of check in or for putting us in the wrong room, and no it was not an upgraded one compared to the one we reserved.

Very friendly staff, very private,quite,romantic. The rooms are awesome and comfortable. Definately making this our yearly spot to enjoy our anniversary.

We stayed in the Presidential room and had an amazing time. The room was huge, classy and amusing all at the same time. My favorite feature was the rainfall shower from the ceiling into the huge two person tub. Before checking out we peeked into other themes/rooms and were surprised on how much fun they all were. Was also comforted by seeing the housekeeping staff steam cleaning the carpets and scrubbing all items in the room. I'm sure this takes extra manpower but who knows what is done with that elephant's truck when the lights go down!
