We have been several times over the years and every visit has been outstanding in every way. On a couple of trips we were unable to get a room at Ho'oilo House and had to find something elsewhere, even though we paid more we were not nearly as happy as when we were able to stay at Ho'oilo House. Dan and Amy keep up the great work as we are sure you will!

In April I proposed to my NOW wife at the Ho'oilo House. You know on reality shows like the Bachelor when they always save the most special moments at the most beautiful places. Well after 1 week in Hawaii the Ho'oilo House was the perfect quit spot for me to propose to my wife. Our room was so nice with the private porch and the bathroom my wife loved and I still hear about it. The outdoor shower was one of the coolest things that we had ever experienced, not to many of those back here in Tennessee. My wife and I will always remember the Ho'oilo House for the romantic peaceful setting, the great hosts that will bend over backwards for you and the gorgeous view. If we ever get back to Maui then Ho'oilo House will be our choice of stay, 1st Class all the way! Our room was beautifully decorated, and bed was by far the most comfortable hotel bed we have ever slept on. The open-air shower was such a refreshing treat.Dan and Amy were available to us, but gave us plenty of privacy. They had wonderful restaurant and beach recommendations. Breakfast by the pool was so relaxing, and Amy's muffins are out of this world. We can't wait to return!

My husband and I visited the Ho'oilo House May 2008 after our Southern California wine country wedding. What a peaceful escape! From the lovely breakfasts to the chats with Dan about what to do on the island... we had an awesome time! Even made some friends at breakfast and ended up playing golf with them later that day at Kapalua! Beautiful grounds and a nice get-a-way from the "resort" type feel of too many rooms and too many people! Thanks again Dan!

We have stayed at the Ho'oilo House 3 times and each return visit is as amazing as the year before. Dan is always very friendly and helpful. The views are spectacular, the area is peaceful - I couldn't ask for anything more. My husband would prefer a wider variety for breakfast as he's more of a bacon and eggs guy, but I found the breakfast to be yummy and very fresh. We're already planning our 4th visit to the Ho'oilo House!

Ho'oilo House is superb in every way. Breakfst was plentiful, fresh and delicious. It is a beautiful and very relaxing environment "home base" from which to go on daily trips and sight seeing. While out of the way, it is central to Maui's attractions.

We just returned from Hawaii yesterday after spending the first 5 days of our honeymoon at Ho'oilo. It is everything stated and more. The rooms are clean, breakfast is light but fresh and a great way to start a hot day on Maui. Dan and Amy are very helpful with area activities, weather, packing breakfast for early days, and providing essentials for your stay. We would HIGHLY recommend Ho'oilo to those looking to escape the big (and noisy) large resorts. The outdoor shower was a refreshing way to clean off after a long day. One of our favorite things to do was read the guest books in each room that prior guests have written (including great area attractions and restaurants).
