We were in Durango to drop our daughter off at Fort Lewis College and stayed a week at the Bed and Breakfast while getting her settled. Walter and Jodi are excellent hosts and made our transition towards empty "nesters" easier. You will be well pampered with gourmet breakfast, tasty cookies, and evening desserts. Arriving at the property, sight unseen, we were greeted and welcomed from the moment the door was opened. We found our room to be quaint but tastefully decorated and quite comfortable. The breakfast was exquisite and Jodi and Walter most charming innkeepers. They were very informative about the area offering suggestions for day excursions. I visited Country Sunshine this summer(2008). It was awesome! They took really good care of us. The food was 5 out of 5 stars. They should open a restaurant! I get hungry just thinkin about it.. :-) The rooms were great and the position is fantastic! I can't descibe Country Sunshine in words. I live in Denmark but even though i will visit Walter and Jodi next time i travel to USA! And you should do the same!!

Jodi and Walter made us feel right at home. Well, better than home... warm cookies in the afternoon, cold beer in the refrigerator, a bonfire in their beautiful backyard, and a selection of desserts in the evening. What more could you want? This is really a great B&B. The hosts, Jodi and Walter, are great and the breakfast prepared by Walter is outstanding. The grounds are beautiful and the rooms are very comfortable. Hope to stay with them again in the future.

We recently stayed at Country Sunshine - hosts Jody and Walter are wonderful, always available and helpful. The food is great! Walter prepares the best breakfast and desserts in Colorado. We had a great time, very relaxing, and beautiful. Walter and Jody are friendly and run the best B and B I have ever stayed at!
