Edward greeted us at the door upon check in with a warm smile, took our bags and brought us up to our guest room. The room was wonderful. Clean, comfy. He told us a bit about the area. Then showed us around the house and it's history. We were in town for a friend's wedding. So needless to say we got up a bit late the next morning, but he had breakfast waiting and warm! We are planning on returning next time and def going to book some spa treatments!

Edward really does a great job here at the Academy House Inn & Spa. He is so accomodating and friendly. Serves a delicious breakfast. Helps with directions, even provides shuttle service. The spa is just wonderful. I booked a deep tissue and a mani and pedi. Loved it. So tranquil. My hubby booked a swedish and really enjoyed it. And our room! So beautiful. We stayed in Suite Sunset. Cozy! We will be back next summer.

Came with my family for a weekend get a way and to catch up. Edward's hospitality was incredible. We also decided to book some massages and facials at the spa. Glad we did! It took our get a way to a whole new level. I'd say it turned more into a retreat. We are already planning next year's return.

Academy House's innkeeper, Ed Devitt, is warm and welcoming and bakes a mean scone. The new spa is gorgeous and sets this B&B apart. We had a terrific stay in a beautiful room and enjoyed Montgomery's all-American charm, and Ed's breakfasts. We'll be back!

The beds are heavenly! So heavenly, we actually bought one. The inn is also a showroom for their all-natural mattresses, which we didn't know! The bedding sooo comfortable and soft. Ed makes a killer breakfast and the scones are awesome!!! Now onto the Spa...what can we say! Relaxing and rejuvenating at the same time. The treatments and can't forget the spa itself, beautifully decorated. Oh, and get the house specialty, the Facelift Massage, I looked so refreshed in just 30 minutes. Those 3 days were like 2 weeks away. We will DEFINATELY be back.

Ed is very pleasant and friendly. We felt welcome and comfortable. The homemade hot chocolate was delicious. The history of the inn and Ed's family was also interesting. Breakfast was not traditional (quiche with sweet potato hash), but absolutely delicious! The inn is near Woodbury Commons and is located in a cute town, and was easy to find.

An older house in a charming historical village with comfortable & large rooms. The beds & bedding were fabboulous & the décor subtle & refined. The caretaker was exceptionally warm & friendly. A bit expensive but no regrets!

I had the pleasure of staying at The Mead-Tooker House on a resent visit to the Orange County N.Y. area. The accommodations were excellent. Very, very clean and comfortable room. Great breakfast by Ed, don’t miss it. You’re just a short walk to area shops and restaurants and a short drive to other area attractions. The proprietor s Ed and Katie are very warm, friendly and down to earth people. After a day of walking through the village of Montgomery make sure you get a massage by Katie the in house massage therapist. Her magic fingers will make you forget you walked all day. The next time I’m in the area I will definitely stay there again.

I was referred to the Mead-Tooker House by some friends (another couple), and was not disappointed! From the charming innkeeper Edward Devitt to the organic linens and heavenly beds, our stay was truly wonderful. We started out our stay by having a delicious cup of tea (which we picked from an extensive variety in a tea chest) and enjoyed the sound of the water feature out on the beautiful patio. Edward had referred us to a great local restaurant, where we were treated like old friends! Then retreated to our beautiful, cozy room for the evening. The next morning breakfast was served,...scones(from scratch),homemade pancakes with fresh fruit and bacon, scrumptious! That was followed by a 50 minute full body massage with the massage therapist,Catie, and was amazing! Not to mention how gorgeous the space is, newly renovated and oh so tranquil. Our weekend was a true retreat! And can't wait to go back...
