Attention to detail from check-in. Peter was a great host and made the experience very relaxing. The photos taken by his uncle are unbelievable! Food is excellent within a variable price range. The porch, for a cocktail, reading or just to savor the view is a gem. We'd stay here again and highly recommend!

From what I had read about the Ammonoosac Inn, it came up to all my expectations. In particular my wife and I enjoyed the food in the bar. The owner, inspite of having lost his Glasgow accent, was most welcoming and helpful, and interesting to talk to. A place I would come back to.

I just started to visit Inn vs Hotels. I must admit my amazement as to what I have figured out - Inns are amazing places to stay. forget the Hilton, forget the Marriott,WOW...talk about relaxation and fun! this inn has the BEST restaurant period!! Exclamation point,period!!! I can't even describe the room service or the innkeepers,everything was top shelf. What ever was I thinking......Marriott? Are you kidding? Inns are the way to go....and this one is over the top in all respects. Business Travel is not supposed to be this good...God did I luck out.

This In was never regarded as a "place to be" in the area until 2005, when the present Chef and owner Karen Melanie of NY Purchased the Inn and Restaurants and created a "International flavor" unknown to the White Mountains of New Hampshire. I was her customer in the busy restaurant world of NYC - I am now her customer in the White Mountains of New Hampshire!! New American Cuisine in the Mountains - go figure!.
