Built as a sea captains home in 1904, the Lindenwood Inn has been greating guests for the last 30 years and shares it's place in local history. It has been lovingly updated and restored, mixing original woodwork and details with the modern comforts of today in a bright, airy and uncluttered decor.
Featuring nine well appointed rooms and suites with private balconies and views of the harbor.A relaxing heated pool and whirlpool area, full service kitchen and a friendly bar with longe areas to unwind and share the days adventures with other guests. The Inn is located in the quaint fishing and boatbuilding community of Southwest harbor and nestled at the mouth of Sommes Sound, a magestic serene setting. It is surrounded by Acadia National Park with famous neibours Bar Harbor, Northeast Harbor and Seal Harbor close by.

Arrived very late because of a ferry cancelation and a great suspition from the US customs, the whole inn appeared lighted, and the room doors open to give us a choice. We were invited to visit the fridge, as we couldnot have had dinner on the way.... read more
