Why stay in an expensive Hotel when you have The Inn at Dupont Circle? The Inn is located in vary active "hip" part of DC with shops, dinning and the Metro just a few steps away. The inkeeper was more than helpful with local information and prepared a cook-to-order breakfast each morning. The room was clean and met all of our needs. Most importantly, we felt very safe. No need to bring your car because the Metro will drop you off 100 yards from the front door. We elected to drive (never again!) and was surprised to have the inkeeper personnaly escort us to their spaces in a nearby garage where we parked our car for $15.00 a day-a very fair price for that area. Our overall experience was fantastic and we would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the Dixon room at the Inn at Dupont Circle for 3 nights, during a very hot and humid week. The Inn was in a perfect location, near shops, restaurants and 1/2 block from the wonderful Metro system. Our room was not overly large but was quite comfortable with a great bed and luggage racks for easy access to our suitcases. The window air conditioners in both the bedroom and bathroom were quiet and very efficient and the decor was charming. Carolyn (the manager) was amazing....a great resource, cook and always welcoming and cheerful. The rest of the staff was very friendly and they even did a small load of laundry for us...we found it neatly folded when we returned! Lots of good brochures and guidebooks for the area were available. Eggs, waffles and pancakes were available for breakfast along with juice, fruit and other side dishes. When we came home hot and tired in the afternoon, fresh lemonade or tea was waiting along with a bakery treat. A rare commodity, we paid $15 extra per day for parking a block and a half away. The garage was a little difficult to maneuver in but it was great to have this available. If you are looking for a home-like environment with very personal service and the charm of old DC, this is the place for you.

this B&B is part of the Dupont Circle group apparently. Technically not a B&B - they do not "cook" your breakfast rather supply the food for breakfast. Our room was a spacious apartment and not a hotel room at all. It was beautifully decorated, super clean and the help was really friendly and accomodating. The bed was like heaven and not a typical, hard, hotel-grade piece of junk with feather pillows and lovely soft bankets. After slogging through hours of tourist walking we slept like babies. It is just aq few blocks from the red-line Metro which is the most important part of a place to stay so we felt like we were only minutes from anywhere we wanted to go. We will certainly stay there again the next time we are in DC!

Because we love the impressionists, Renoir prints fill the walls. Relax on the love seat, and delight in the ambience of this room.

The Renoir Room is on the third floor with a private bath. There is a sofa bed which can accommodate a third guest for a minimal additional charge. The Country Room

Our Country Room is a soothing retreat on the top floor of the inn is a quiet haven in the midst of Washington DC. Decorated in soft reds and whites and overlooking our rear garden, you'll think your are in the country away from it all. Terry robes provided for your short trip to the shared bath located just down the hall.

The Country Room shares a bath with the Nook and Queen Anne Rooms.
This room is also the essence of romantic elegance. The blazing chandelier reflects in the massive mirror that soars to meet the 12-foot high ceilings. Tired after a day of meetings and touring? This is a perfect place to retreat and regroup.

The Crystal Room is on the second floor and has a private bath. The king bed can be split into two twins. There is also a twin sofa chair that can accommodate a third person for a minimal additional charge. The Dixon Room was once Jeanne Dixon husbands study. Framing the king-size bed, the antique quilt, an import from a tiny West Virginia town, is gracefully set off against the forest green walls and reflected in the mirror opposite the bed, over the fireplace. Note the early 20th century molded radiators, like others that fill the house
even in the bathrooms! The Dixon Room is on the third floor with a private bath (and bathtub). The bed can also be split into two single beds.
This charming room was named for its original Victorian rose and yellow Queen Anne windows. Morning light bathes the room in soft pastels. The king size bed can be easily converted into two single beds. Terry robes are provided in the room for the walk to the shared bath located just down the short hall.

This room shares a bathroom with the Nook and Country Room. Here's another view of the Tiffany Room, one of our most beautiful--with its Victorian oak armoire, gleaming chandelier and brilliantly colored stain glass windows, framing the top of 10-foot high soaring bay windows--all treasures of Victorian detail and elegance.
The Garden Loft is a bright, cozy mini-suite, with its white wicker and floral decor that feels like an extension of our garden. It has its own ground level "Florida" room and white narrow spiral stairs that lead to a small bedroom/bathroom loft with a queen size bed. Extra touches are the white tile and green marble bathroom with a whirlpool bath, as well as skylights, that let in all the morning sun.

The Garden Loft is our smallest room with a private bath. There is also a twin sofa chair that can accommodate a third person for a minimal additional charge that includes breakfast.
