Now, two great downtown locations! The Greenleaf Inn AND The Market Street Inn Vacation Rentals. The Greenleaf Inn is one of Newburyport’s real treasures. This 18th century former captain's home retains many of its original features, moldings, grand central stairway, wide pine floors, original windows, Indian shutters and fireplace panels. We have opened this beautiful home to guests staying a few days, weeks or months in the seacoast area.

ALSO, check out the Market Street Inn Vacation Rentals, Newburyport's Only Extended Stay Hotel. We offer several VACATION RENTALS near the waterfront, all with full kitchens, all available year around. Each unit is tucked away in an historic home in Newburyport’s Old Town near the waterfront and Market Square. History with all the modern conveniences of home! IDEAL FOR FAMILIES.

Breakfast is not included at either location, as we offer free morning snacks such as biscotti, granola bars, etc., as well as a tea and coffee service in each room.

Beautiful building, squeaky floors, bed was okay, rooms very large and clean. Shouldn't be called bed and breakfast because all you get is a cereal type bar. Would go back very good location. read more

We spent the weekend here recently, and we really enjoyed it. We loved that we didn't have to deal with the awkwardness one typically thinks of when they hear B&B. It was a short walk to the downtown area, with plenty of restaurants and shops.... read more

it was really a beautiful stay at the greenleaf inn. it is not a bed and breakfast! the room was very cozy and really nice. newburyport is a beautiful city! we will come back, that is for sure

We stayed in suite 5, which needs an extra chair (there's only one lazy boy) and a queen sized bed. Its clean and quiet; fine for one or two nights. The owner is responsive and helpful, but doesn't live in the building, so its not a true B&B... read more

The reviewer is correct in saying that we don’t serve breakfast and, while all of our other suites have queen beds, suite five does have a full size. We don’t charge for breakfast, and our description on Bedandbreakfast.com states that we don’t serve breakfast. We do offer guests biscotti, breakfast bars, coffee, tea and hot chocolate in the room. Most of our guests enjoy exploring one of Newburyport’s many charming cafes or restaurants for breakfast. We are just a few minutes walk from the center of town. Others appreciate having the option of a quick bite in the room and not having to go out for breakfast. Each room has a coffeemaker, refrigerator, microwave oven and toaster. We encourage guests who stay for more than a few days to bring favorite items for breakfast and enjoy the privacy of dining in the room. We are always looking for ways to improve and we will be happy to consider offering fresh fruits in season.
