everything was excellent. Stayed in the french connection, and it was fantastic. The breakfast was great and the price was more than fair. the women running the house were friendly and helpful. I am allergic to cats, so I was surprised when I saw that they had them, but the inn was so clean they never bothered me once. If your in the area you cant go better than the Rieser

The Reiser Inn at Leesport is everything a B&B should be, and more. The Inn is a beautifully restored, historied home dating back to the days of William Penn. The interior has been decorated with a delightful combination of excellent taste and clever whimsy. The amenities are far too numerous to list here but go above and beyond what even experienced travelers would reasonably expect. Breakfast was pleasing to both the eye and the palate. Even with all this said, certainly the best part of staying at the Reiser Inn was its innkeeper, Melanie. Melanie’s style of care can best be described as part innkeeper, part concierge, part mother and part favorite aunt. My wife and I have stayed at dozens of B&B’s and have loved many of them, but never have we felt such a compunction to send our friends and family to stay at one. On a scale of ten I must rate this one an eleven.

My wife and I celebrated our anniversary at The Rieser Inn; this was our second stay there. The room (we stayed in "The French Connection") was beautiful. I have looked elsewhere, and finding another B&B at this price (and with a whirlpool tub!) is nearly impossible in central PA. We will be back.

This place gets 5 stars. We went for a 2 night getaway last week and felt like family from the minute we walked in the door. What a wonderful, clean, quiet and comfortable place to stay. Melanie and Mary Louise are great Innkeepers. Breakfast was incredible and so was the jetted bathtub. They introduced us to Wii. We had a lot of fun bowling together even though Melanie kicked our butts. To top it all off, they dropped their prices. Personally, we would have paid more. This is more than a bargain. Anytime we're back in the area we won't go anywhere else. Everyone should stay here and forget hotels. Linda and Rob

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay. Melanie is a great hostess and an excellent cook -- the meals were delicious and filling. My room and bathroom were very clean and comforting -- very easy to relax. The house has a wonderful story behind it; it's always fun to stay at a place with history in it.

This was our first time to stay at a bed and breakfast and the experience was very pleasant. The innkeeper went out of her way to make us feel at home and recomended a good restaurant to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. Staying at the Rieser threw me back to staying at Gram's when I was little (it was the wood floors that did it!) A warm, friendly home that you become a part of - even as far as being able to use the back door! I would stay here again in a minute!! My wife and I stayed at The Rieser Inn for 2 nights in early April to celebrate our first wedding anniversary. We were both very impressed with our room, the house as a whole, the hospitality, and the excellent breakfast (try the Eggs Benedict!). The innkeeper, Melanie Evans, even suggested two restaurants which turned out to be great (Viva--the tapas are a great deal, and Judy's on Cherry--very cool atmosphere). The location was ideal, in a small town within easy driving distance from Reading and its outlets and restaurants, as well as close to Hawk Mountain, which we recommend for anyone who enjoys hiking and nature. The experience of staying at The Rieser Inn was both elegant and homey at once. The price, for a bed and breakfast, is also a remarkable deal. We recommend The Rieser Inn for any couple looking for a quaint and relaxing setting for a getaway. We plan to come back!

This was our first experience at a Bed and Breakfast. The innkeepers were gracious and the food excellent(Have to try the eggs benedict!). The room & private bath were clean & comfortable and decorated well. With three kids in the house it was a great time to relax and reconnect with my wife and do some outlet shopping:) The innkeeper went out of her way and made reservations at local resturants to make our stay that much more special. Overall it was a great experience and we plan on going back for our weekend away. And would highly recommend the Rieser Inn.
