We change the breakfast every morning rotating between an egg dish and the lemon ricotta souffle, french toast or pancakes. Even when we have a guest for 4-5 nights, we try to make sure that we serve them something different every morning. This is also true for the pastry with coffee service which alternates between coffee cake with fresh fruit (peaches or strawberries) and muffins which we normally bake fresh each morning. With regard to the comment about the TV in the garden room, other guests like to see the morning news with their coffee and can read that morning's Washington Post. This guest could have moved to the parlor, dining room or outside patio or even to a table next to the pool if they felt this was intrusive. We normally turn the TV off when we serve breakfast unless someone is watching it. All this guest had to do was ask if we could turn off the TV . . innkeepers try to accommodate their guest wishes . . you just gotta tell the innkeeper!

This is clearly a case of misunderstanding! When this guest checked in to the inn, we asked for their credit card to swipe as required by the credit card processor and Visa/MC. They stated that they had given it to us when making the reservation (which we take to "secure" the reservation), and objected to providing the credit card. I pointed out that the credit card company wants us to swipe the card and this avoids mistakes in keying in the credit card information (16 digit number plus four digit expiration) and the fraudulent use of stolen credit card information. This guest seemed to think we were accusing them of using stolen credit cards . . quite contrary to what we tried to explain to them. The credit card processing company actually charges the merchant a higher fee if they do not swipe the card to reduce mistakes and fraudulent use of credit card information. From the comments posted . . it is clear that this person did not understand what we tried to explain to them.

My spouse and I just spent 3 days, two nights at the property and would definitely stay again when we visit in the future. My spouse has a food allergy that the hosts were very familiar with, and they had no hesitation in preparing food that accommodated the need. The breakfast food was fresh, cooked just right, and garnished well with fruit, coffee and juice. The room was extremely clean as were the other vacant rooms we checked out as well. Very nicely appointed furnishings, a DVD movie library, and beautiful, peaceful grounds. We're not 'cat lovers' and would not even have known the owners had one if we did not see it. If it sneaks in the house once in awhile you'd never know it as there is no indication it resides in there. We took advantage of the B&B bicycles and helmets to ride all through the wonderful town and waterfront, just a very short ride from the house. We recommend the Maritime Museum visit, but buy your $8 ticket from the B&B or spend $5 more per ticket. The B&B also sells a wine tour certificate that was a great deal. Overall, a very good value for the price. View Reviewer Info

We try to assist guests in making dinner arrangements. Key Lime Cafe is one of the top rated restaurants . . vast majority of our guests are pleased to have us help "steer" them to the better restaurants and thrilled with Key Lime Cafe. Maybe an "off night" for Key Lime Cafe . . this guest appears willing to strike out on their own.

We offer our "Best of the Bay Special" that includes a dinner certificate for $40 where the guest can choose from several different restaurants. The package includes $126 worth of add-ons for less than $100 . . . two hour sail on Skipjack, two tickets to Maritime Musuem and the $40 dinner certificate . We make no representations about what the $40 covers . . the menu with prices for all of the restaurants are availabe at the inn for the guest to review. I am suprised that any guest would assume that a $40 dinner certificate when the menu describes entree's priced at $24 - $32 would cover dinner for two.
