I can't rave enough about Country Rome. At first I was a little leery because it was not in the city of Rome but after the first day there I felt right at home. There is a walk to the bus stop and a bus ride to the heart of Rome but that was all part of the experience of being in the beautiful country. There are also cabs available but we chose the walking and the bus. The bus ride is an experience you should try at least once. All the local street merchants ride the bus and one night on the way back we were on the bus with many of the street musicians, while we were at the bus stop in Rome waiting a group of about 5 musicians got together and just started jamming, it was really entertaining. We were there 3 yrs ago and when we get the chance to go back we wouldn't think of staying anywhere else. Ylenia and her family were so hospitable and wonderful, the dogs were sweet, the rooms immaculate, cozy and comfortable. The walled in grounds were relaxing and beautiful. I could go on and on. Ylenia speaks beautiful English and went out of her way to give us directions and even came to pick us up at the bus stop on our way back from Sienna. We went to Rome first and after 4 days went North. We planned on staying in a hotel by the airport in Rome our last day but changed our arrangements and went back to Country Rome our last night. I would highly recommend staying here for at least 4 nights and I guarantee you will fall in love with the people, pets and the place and you will want to go back! Karen from New Jersey USA
