We brought our two dogs with us and Adele who is a pet lover had a large fenced in backyard/garden wher the dogs could be leash free and we could relax. Our room was very comfortable and Adele thought of lots of extras to make it feel like home.The house itself is large and elegant. It has real southern charm. I went to Montezuma to scout a football game. I googled Bed and Breakfast's and found this wonderful place. We left Newnan around 4:30 and made it around 7. My wife relaxed at the inn while I scouted the football game. Adele was an awesome host and a great cook. I give a big thumbs up on the massage the next morning also. This was really a great get-a-way and the price was very good. We plan on staying the weekend when our team plays at Macon Co in October. Thanks Adele. We had a great time.

Very enjoyable room, clean, large, and very tastefully decorated in African style. We stayed in the cottage behind the Inn and it was just wonderful,very private, and quiet. July 10-11th stay in the Captain's Quarter's was fantastic. It was a haven for me and my friends as we were hostessing a huge party nearby for my parents 50th Anniversary! I booked a 2 night stay at the Traveler's Rest B&B as a surprise for my wife on our 16th wedding anniversary. Adele was the most gracious host and treated us like family. We stayed in the "Captain's quarters" room. The room was beautiful and decorated with a nautical theme throughout. It had a large corner jacuzzi tub in the private bathroom. A flat screen TV with built-in DVD as well as a large assortment of CD's and DVD's for you to choose from. Adele's cooking is unbeatable. The food was delicious and served when you requested, not at a strict scheduled time. She cooked us a very romantic candlelight dinner for our anniversary and supplied my wife with a beautiful rose at dinner. The extra charge for this dinner was well worth it. My wife was very impressed. We will definitely be back!!!

We recently used the Traveler's Rest to breakup our long drive between East Tennessee and the Gulf Coast. We have made this trip several times and stayed at nice hotels along the way. Our experience at the Traveler's Rest was far superior to a hotel stay. The "off the beaten path" setting was much more relaxing and interesting. The service was exquisite. We were also able to bring our dog along and on our return trip he recognized the place and was actually excited to return. We highly recommend the Travel's Rest. You won't find better hospitality!

If you are treveling anywhere near Montezuma a stay at this B&B is a must. The house is filled with old world charm and so many things to look at. The bedrooms have great character and a homely feel about them. The meals are also second to none thanks to Adele and nothing is to much trouble for her. Our perspective might be a bit different from the usual B&B guests. You see, a fellow animal rescue volunteer and I had traveled down from Atlanta to spend several days on a difficult neglect and abuse case. When we arrived late at night feeling very tired and grimy, Adele welcomed us into her beautiful home and made us feel just as special as her more presentable guests. Adele insisted that we place carriers containing a dozen scared cats in an out-building on her property instead of leaving them in our vehicles overnight. (She even brought in a litter of kittens to spend the night in a spare bathroom!) Notwithstanding our late arrival, she fixed us a much-needed (and delicious!) dinner. In the morning, she arranged to have a local police officer escort us to a vet clinic's office where our cats were scheduled to received medical care. The bottom line is that this is no ordinary bed and breakfast with a cookie-cutter approach to visitors. Adele is a lovely and caring person who works to meet her guests' need and to make everyone feel special. The Traveler's Rest is a gorgeous and comfortable house with every possible amenity. Adele is a fabulous cook (you won't believe the wonderful smells coming from the kitchen early in the morning!), and staying here under any circumstances would be a treat. In our case, we felt incredibly fortunate to be hosted by someone who clearly cares for her guests (human and non-human!) and who made us feel truly welcome. the owner was so personal and just made you feel relaxed in her B & B. I stayed in the confederate room and it was spacious and cozy. I particularly like the little nook room with the day bed where I could stretch out watch tv, work on my computer with the wireless, and talk to family on my cell phone. very comforting. the only thing I would change is to center the mirror in the bath so it is over the sink, helps when shaving.

This was my first experience with bed and breakfasts. I was extremely surprised with this find and I am hooked for life. I've been traveling for work 3 days a week for the last six months. I can't imagine what that would have been like without Adele and her inn. Being in her home is like visiting family. The food is amazing with all the extra special touches that make it her own. Unique, healthy, and delicious! Crepes, duck breast salad, and pork loin with roasted pears, yum! I can't say enough about her hospitality and care in all the details. Fresh fruit with every breakfast, dessert with every dinner, hot tea on a cold night, and even Theraflu when I'm feeling stuffy and achy. You definitely won't get that at ANY hotel. The beds are so comfortable, it makes it hard to get up to go to work in the morning. We spent four days at Traveler's Rest for our Valentine's Day getaway. We got the Valentine's Package, truly romantic in every way thanks to Adele. It was an oasis, quiet, restful, beautifully decorated with all sorts of unique things. We stayed in the Captain's Quarters for two nights, let me say the bed is like a dream, and the tub is relaxation at it's best. The room was decorated very tastefully. Our second room for two nights was the Civil War Room, the bed again was comfortable, as was the daybed on which we took a nap. There are many unique items of the Civil War era here.Everything throughout the entire inn was meticulously clean. It was wonderful. Adele is more than you could ever ask for in a hostess. She saw to our every need, accomadated us in every request we made. She made us a great picnic lunch. We were fortunate enough to have four breakfasts and two dinners (one a light dinner, the other a candlelit four course meal). Oh my goodness, Adele is the greatest cook, everything we ate was wonderful!! We never ate the same thing twice thoughout our stay, and there was always plenty of food. There was also the bonus of getting to love on her two cats and two dogs. Sweetest animals you could ever meet.We got home yesterday and are already talking about when we can go back. I would definately recommend this inn to anyone traveling remotely close to Montezuma, even if you have to drive a few extra miles, it will definately be worth the drive. I travel 3 days a week, and have always stayed in hotels. This is my first stay at a B & B. Adele was very personable and accomodating. Despite telling her not to get up and fix me breakfast (as I leave for work early), she would have a freshly-baked item as well as fresh fruit, juice, and coffee waiting for me when I came downstairs. Me being not a good car traveler decided to look for a half way stop, after reviewing Traveler's Rest on the internet and noticing the ratings and reviews I made a reservation. The bed and breakfast a little out of the way...you exit 75 and have to travel about 20 minute, but it is worth it. It was great, very peaceful and Adele's hospitality was outstanding. I loved that it is pet friendly, the rooms and the house were very clean and spacious. Unfortunately we were only staying the night and were not able to enjoy the Inn as much as we would have liked. I could say Traveler's Rest exceeded my expectations but because this was our first time at a b&b, we didn't know what to expect. But, we'll go back - does that say anything? Adele is an extremely personable lady, well traveled, and a joy to be around. When you visit and you have a little time, ask her to tell you about some of the places she's been. I thought diving on WWII ships sunk in the Pacific was something special for example. She couldn't do enough for you and did everything she could to make you feel at home. One minor suggestion in the Captain's Quarters would be to include an electrical outlet close to the vanity for blowing one's hair dry. Other than that, I would have no other suggestions. The rooms were immaculate, the beds comfortable, the shower was hot, the high-speed Internet and flat panel TV were unexpected, and I loved the cool, air-conditioned oasis of the Carriage House after a hot, muggy day in Georgia. Adele (the Inn keeper) provided unparalleled customer service and gourmet meals at very competitive rates. She was extermely accomodating to special requests and made me feel right at home. I wish I could give her 10 stars.

My husband and I enjoyed a very pleasant get away evening at Traveler's Rest. We stayed in the Carriage House and when we opened the door to the rooms, my husband said, "Wow, I wasn't expecting anything quite this nice!" Adele made us an amazing "Fruit Plate" to enjoy at our leisure for dinner even though we had not requested it ahead of time. It was FAR more than a fruit plate! We rode bikes around the quaint, older homes in the neighborhood and visited Andersonville (riveting) and the Brown's farmers stand suggested by Adele. Our crepe breakfast was delicious. Adele will have you feeling immediately at home. Traveler's Rest is a true gem in an unsuspecting spot.

Traveler's Rest was our B & B choice because it looked convenient to where we wanted to go (Andersonville Historic Site). Well, it was that. But TR turned out to be a relaxing, charming oasis in an interesting mid-Georgia town. Host Adele couldn't have been more accommodating and genial. And, she's a great chef! We'll stay there again.

Everything was absolutely wonderful during our stay! Adele made sure that our every need was taken care of. We really enjoyed the fabulous candlelight dinner and the great breakfast we had the next morning. Sometimes you stay at a lovely B&B and not get to know the owners. This one was different. I sat and had a lovely meal with Adele and her friends in the evening time. There aren's many restaurants close by so this worked out very nicely. Adele went out of her way to make me feel comfortable.

This was our first stay at a Bed and Breakfast and it was very enjoyable and relaxing. We were on the go during most of our stay so we didn't spend a lot of time at the Inn. The time we did get to spend at Travelers Rest was great. The front porch setting is very peaceful. The rooms are very nice and extremely clean. The hospitality was the best part of our stay. We hope to be back next time we are in the area.

Adele is always the most welcoming hostess -- interested in her guests and what they might be doing and what they might like to do in the area. She is just totally welcoming and so very efficient. The accomodations and food are just perfect -- and made to order for the guest's schedule. I can't think of a better place to stay in the Montezuma area. Although this was a business trip, I greatly enjoyed my stay at Traveler's Rest. Adele is an excellent hostess and always very accomodating, especially with meeting particular dietary requests. The rooms are all very well kept up and beautifully decorated. This was my second stay at Traveler's and it was as good as the first. Upon arrival I was thrilled with the outside appearance of the inn. Being met by Adelle at the door was also a pleasure as she immediately made us feel welcome. The tour of the inn further confirmed that this would be our "home" for the weekend. Immaculately cleaned by Lillian, the rooms were warn and friendly. Breakfasts were served on time and we felt we could linger over tea enjoying not only the company of each other but also with Adelle. It was a WONDERFUL weekend despite the rain.

Stayed at Traveler's Rest on March 28 and 29 of March, 2008. Was our first time staying at a B&B. It was an absolute delight. My wife and I were most impressed with the hostess. Adele has a wealth of knowledge about resources available in the community. She was very accommodating even keeping our small Yorkie for a few hours. Meals are exactly what you may want. Adele actually prepared a special breakfast for my brother. We did give him a hard time for that. Especially since the meal already prepared was perfect! All of the rooms are nice and offer different motifs. We stayed in the Civil War Suit and my brother and his wife and grandson stayed in the larger Captain's Quarters. All rooms have access to separate bathrooms. On our next visit we hope to stay in the beautiful Carriage House which is a self contained small unit outside the main house. Even though the Inn is on the main street we noticed no noise from that direction. It was quiet allowing for an uninterrupted rest. We not only would stay here again but are already planning for a return. Be assured you will not find a nicer place to stay in Montezuma than Traveler's Rest Bed and Breakfast.

I've stayed twice now and won't stay elsewhere in the area. The rooms are very thoughtfully and artfully decorated. Adele's attention to every detail, from room decor to meals reveals a unique and extensive background in the hospitality industry. Stay once and I think you will find the combination of service, comfort and value will bring you back. As to the unexpected, the location of such a quality Inn in a small, rural Georgia town off the beaten track adds another delightful dimension. The Inn is a welcome respite from the mega-chains. Regardless of their attempts to make you feel at home, and many do a nice job, Traveller's Rest is in a class all its own.

We have a wonderful time during our visit. This quiet country town was a refreshing break from city life. The house was beautiful and Adele's hospitality went above and beyond. Available books and DVDs made it feel like home. I did not want to leave the cozy bed. But the jacuzzi tub was definetly my favortite part of the trip. We look forward to visiting again.

The rooms were really nice and clean. Adele (the inn keeper) is very hospitable and so is her staff (1 cleaning lady), they made us feel very welcome and were bend over backwards accommodating. You might as well have been staying at the Ritz Carlton. Very charming place with an owner that catered to your every need. She was willing to pick us up from the small montezuma airport. She prepared a outstanding meal that exceeded anything you could have gotten, had you gone out to a restaruant in a larger city. The prices were very reasonable. Our supper and breakfast were prepard at a time that was convienent for us and the house and rooms were beautiful.
