My wife and I along with our new puppie (cody) stayed the week of October 6th through the 9th, 2009. I picked the Stonebow for the proximity of the several Trout fishing rivers within minutes of the Stonebow. WE WERE NOT DISAPOINTED!!!! My wife enjoyed the peace and quiet and I had a great time fishing the Casselman, Savage, N Branch Potomac and the Yough. The breakfasts were 5 star all the way. Service was incredible. We will be back in the spring!!! Especially noticed was the attention to detail. I hope you keep the "pet friendly policy". Cody was so tired after his "adventure" that he slept all the way home. Thank You T&T B

From the very beginning when this B&B opened, my wife and I found it to be a welcome and comfortable retreat from our hectic world. With quiet, well appointed rooms, walking paths by a rippling creek and woods outside the door, and now fabulous goumet breakfasts, we were able to rest and renew with every stay. My wife recently passed on, but I'm back and now with my pal (my dog), again appreciating the quiet and time here to reflect and heal. Innkeepers Cathy and Julyen have been so friendly and completely accomodating, seing to it that our quiet time is quiet time, but ready to assist with any need or in recommending sojurns to local attactions. We had been to other B&Bs. This is the only one where we - and now I - consider staying.

While looking for a B&B near Deep Creek I stumbled upon The Stonebow Inn. I was thrilled that I could bring my 20yr cat with me. The view and deck from the back, the gardens and house cats plus Julyen's fabulous breakfasts made this a getaway that I look forward to repeating as spoon as possibe. One of the best B & B we've stayed in

My husband and I stayed for the first time in the summer of 2008 (in the Stanton House) and enjoyd the setting and innkeepers so much we stopped again in mid-summer 2009. This time we had our adult son and daughter with us; they stayed on the ground floor of River House and my husband and I above. Both rooms were spacious and wonderfully decorated. We all enjoyed getting to know the cats. Julyan's breakfasts are superb.

My wife and I have stayed at Stonebow now through the third set of owners, 3rd set being Cathy and Julian. Without a doubt the 3rd time is "the charm." We usually try to do 2 visits a year and have been for almost 10 years. Their almost effortless ability of making people comfortable is not a learned trait. You either have or not, they have it nailed. Without a doubt worth the trip from wherever you call home.

My wife and I have been coming to Stonebow since they opened in October 2004. We visit an average of four times a year. Stonebow is about relaxing. Nestled in the foothills of the Cumberlands Stonebow is bordered by a babiling river on one side and a hisotric arts village on the other. My wife and I visit an average of one B&B a month. This is where we always return.

We had plans to attend the Wine and Arts Festival in Oakland. Most of the Inns were booked so we decided to try something a little further away. Grantsville is a 20-30 minute drive to Oakland, Maryland. It is a very scenic drive. We were very pleased with our stay at the Stonebow Inn. The owners are a very sweet couple who try to really hard to please their guests. The Inn is tastefully decorated with lots of antiques. The rooms are very clean. The yard has some gorgeous flowers. It is a nice place to relax or take a walk to the stream. The breakfast was delicious and quite filling. I would definitely recommend this Inn. Eileen and Mike Beard

My mom and I stayed with my infant son in the Kingfisher and had an excellent stay. The Kingfisher is roomy and view was terrific - we loved relaxing on the deck. I plan on bringing my husband back for some of the abundant hiking, another visit in the Kingfisher and the wonderful hospitality from Cathy and Julyen. PS - the breakfasts were one of the best I've had at a bed and breakfast!

Bob and I spent a couple of weekdays with Cathy and Julyen. The food was incredible, they are very knowledgeable about the area and make great suggestions for restaurants and activities, and the beautiful setting on the Casselman river makes you feel like you are in another world. The beds were very comfortable and the little stove in our room kept it very toasty and cozy. We also enjoyed the extensive video collection. We would highly recommend this inn and will visit again when we want to ski or just enjoy the history of this interesting area.

The Stonebow Inn was a fantastic place to stay! It was in a natural and beautiful setting, with the small river on one side and the artist's village/shops on the other. The innkeepers were delightful, and the breakfasts were first class. There were many things to do and see in the historic surrounding area, also. We hope to go there again, soon!
