My husbnd and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful B & B for three blissful nights. First, we were greeted promptly by Monica's friendly smile and beautiful little girls at the airport. Upon our arrival, welcome drinks were waiting for us in our spotless and comfortable room. Monica was ready to answer every possible tourism-related question imaginable and available to give us rides if necessary. Walmart and the Basilica of Our Lady of Guadalupe are nearby.Public transportation is just a few blocks away and very inexpensive. You are not more than 15 minutes for the center of the city. The neighborhood is not at all touristy, which is quite nice as you get a real flavor of the people and the culture.There are a number of good restaurants with authentic cuisine nearby. The breakfast was bountiful each day. We usually had tamales, fresh fruit, yogurt, and cereal. One day we had the treat of a a regional specialty of an egg dish with meat. They will even do your laundry for you at a very reasonable price. Monica suggested the Touribus in Mexico City and was even kind enough to give us a ride there. She was also thoughtful enough to stop at the Basilica of Guadalupe for us for one last visit before driving us to the airport, knowing what a special place this was for us. Indeed, if you really want to experience the flavor of Mexico and stay in a clean safe environment and benefit from the wise advice of caring local residents, this is the place to be. Save the money you'd spend on a fancy hotel for better meals, more souvenirs and sightseeing. The rates are unbelievably reasonable especially considering that breakfast and round trip airport transportation is included. A blissful bargain!!
