Meadowlark Inn

1870's farmhouse on a quiet country road, yet close to all area attractions. Eight individually appointed rooms, all with private baths. Views of woods, a meadow complete with a herd of Holsteins early summer through fall, and mountains in the distance. Modern ammenities guests have come to expect with old fashioned ones that will still delight you. Amazing views of the night skies from the hammock. Beautiful gardens with a water fountain and natural stone altar. 2.2 mile walk on country lane just outside our door, or simply sit on one of the large porches in a rocking chair and watch the sunset. We often see deer and wild turkeys strolling through the yard at dawn or dusk and a nearby pond offers evening symphony in spring and summer. The Inn is Certified as a Backyard Wildlife Habitat by the National Wildlife Federation.

We loved our room and all of its amenities. The breakfast provided was first class and the inn's common space was warm & inviting. The location is perfect -- close to the highway and attractions.

We just got back from Brattleboro (we had never been before), and feel so relaxed and spoiled by our experience at the Meadowlark. The facilities, both inside and out, were immaculate! We have a jaccuzzi at home that we never use, but the double... read more

The view from the dining room! This is the Meadow Retreat Room in the Coach House. All of our rooms have private bathrooms and everyone is uniquely decorated with careful attention to guest comfort and details a priority. Free Wireless internet access is provided.
Breakfast is a big production. The innkeepers went to Cambridge School of Culinary Arts and enjoy making pastries and entrees that will delight you. Much of your breakfast is grown on the premises in organic gardens or purchased from local farmers. We've met the chickens that lay our eggs! In season foods are featured whenever possible. Special diets are gladly accomodated with advanced notice!Almost three acres of spacious grounds offer private sitting areas or hammock time for all of our guests.
