When trying to decide where to go fo rour honeymoon, the factors came down to: good food, good wine, a beach, privacy, and affordability. We got all this at the Kings Inn. We felt as if we were staying at a friend's house...a friend with a really big house and servants. Being just 20 minutes away from Charleston, it was like having the best of both worlds...all the amenities at a fraction of the cost. We are already talking about coming back. In a matter of a few days we have established memories that will bring us back here many times in the future. Thank you, Joe and Kristan, for making my new bride happy.

After reading all the rave reviews we had no doubt that the Kings Inn would be a wonderful choice. Upon arrival we were greeted by an envelope that contained the keys to our room and a note from the innkeepers. The room was large and comfortable and nicely decorated. When we returned from dinner we relaxed in back yard and met Joe, one of the innkeepers. We chatted for a short time and he indicated that he would recommend some restaurants and activities the next morning at breakfast. That would have been appreciated, but Joe was a no show as was Kristan. In fact, Kristan was a no show the three nights we were there. The scrambled eggs with the spinach garnish we had for breakfast were tasty. Day 2 After returning to our room that evening, we were surprised to see that the room had not been made up, nor were we given any clean towels. We called and were greeted by an answering machine and about an hour later we were contacted by staff (not the owners) and were told that we would have clean towels delivered and they were by Joe. The scrambled eggs with the cream cheese garnish for breakfast were tasty. Day 3 Upon returning from our days activities we decided to utilize the swimming pool but it was filthy and had not been cleaned. We saw Joe as we were returning to our room and he stated that he hadn't gotten around to cleaning the pool. The scrambled eggs with the cheese garnish for breakfast were tasty. You are reading this correctly. Scrambled eggs three mornings in a row. THIS IS THEIR SIGNATURE DISH! We have stayed at many B & B's over the years and most have been very good to excellent. If this would have been our first experience with a B & B, I would never stay at another.

My husband and I were looking for a quiet place where I could enjoy a few days between chemo & radiation treatments and KINGS INN provided that for us in spades! The room, food, grounds, service, and lovely people we met, all made our time there so very enjoyable. The town of Summerville is a joy and we wish we lived closer! We stayed at Kings Inn Bed & Breakfast while visiting family in Summerville. We had looked at the website reviews and photos, and took a chance. Both my husband and I were so glad we did. Kristan and Joe were perfect hosts. Michelle's breakfast were a delight and highly anticipated each morning. The Inn itself and the gardens are beautiful and welcoming, just as seen in the website photos. We hope to return to Summerville and stay at the Kings Inn again. Rosemary & Jim

Our stay at Kings Inn was very nice. The breakfast was excellent and the room was clean and nicely furnished. The bed was extremely comfortable. Joe and Kristan were so kind and helpful with directions and stories about the area. I would definitely recommend this Bed and Breakfast. If I were giving Joe and Kristan any advice it would be to answer the phone every time someone calls. I just spent the first few days of married life her in the bridal suite. This place is great. They inn keepers were very knowlegable of the area and helped with everything they could. The room was great. I would suggest this place to everyone.

This B & B provided an excellent experience to me and my husband. We were looking for a special place to have a honeymoon we never got. This B & B was the perfect pick for us. Upon arrival we were greeted warmly by the owner. We checked into our room and asked for information on dinning in the area. The owner provided us with many wonderful choices, and information on each one restaurant in the area. We arrived a little late, so he kindly called the restaurant to see if they would take us. To our surprise not only would they accommodate us, the restaurant he recommended was outstanding. We were treated with so much love and care that we would recommend this B & B to anyone who will listen. We found the B & B clean, romantic, well keep. The pool was clean and well cared for. The grounds were well maintained and lit. This B & B offered a lot to a special day or just a romantic get away. Take a chance and choose this one for your next B & B. My husband and I were doing a tour of the tri-state area and wanted somewhere close to Charleston, without staying in the hoi - poloi of the city itself. Summerville fit the bill and the King's Inn was the perfect place. We found it completely by chance and spent a very comfortable 2 nights there. The hosts who were very helpful and accommodating have recently purchased the property and have obviously spent alot of time, energy and money investing in their business. The front garden is beautifully landscaped and gives the property great 'kerb appeal'. Our room was comfortable and tastefully furnished. We had a king sized sleigh bed with fine quality bed line which was heavenly to sleep in. The bathroom was ensuite with a roomey shower. Air conditioning was centrally controlled and vented into our room through the floor. We found the first night quite hot ( we are from Ireland) and difficult to sleep in the early hours of the morning, but when we mentioned it at breakfast we were shown how to adjust the controls if needed again. Talking of breakfast, it was great - fruit with yoghurt followed by a yummy hot entree. Summerville is a pretty, historic small town all within very easy walking distance of the Inn. On the first night we had dinner in 'Relish' which is only a 2 - 3 minute walk away. We highly recommend this restaurant for it's service, food and amazing value for money. Overall we were delighted we chanced upon this lovely Inn and would like to wish the new owners all the best of luck with their new business venture. They deserve it.

This was one of our most enjoyable B&B stays! The people there make you feel a part of the family and open their home to you like it was yours (with any work - they do all the work and you just enjoy!). We will definately remember this place and plan on returning during another trip to SC. Even though it was a hectic weekend for us, the Kings Inn made us comfortable and relaxed. Thank you so much!

Kristen and Joe were excellent hosts. The rooms were well appointed and comfortable. The breakfasts were a wide variety with fresh fruit, orange juice, and entrees. We would recommend the Kings b&B to our friends without hestitation.

We spent the weekend, with our best friends, at this delightful B&B. The house and grounds are lovely, with evidence of on-going, thoughtful, and intelligent improvements. Kristen and Joe, and even the 3 cats, made us feel welcome and 'at home'. While I thoroughly enjoyed the generous, healthy (whole-wheat waffles, yogurt and fruit) breakfasts, they were less appealing to my husband, who prefers simpler, old-South fare (eggs, bacon, toast/biscuits); but both of us enjoyed the fresh-squeezed O.J. and the ever-full coffee-pot! We would definitely consider returning to this most pleasant Inn.

My husband and I stayed for three nights(May 17th- 20th) and had a wonderful stay at the King's Inn Bed and Breakfast. The Azalea room was beautiful, the grounds were awesome and Kristan and Joe(hosts) were the absolute best. The breakfasts were to die for every morning and we thank Michelle for that. We will definitely return when in Summerville. Highly recommended.

We stayed here for our Wedding night and it was perfect. The bridal suite is very cute and I loved the colors. Breakfast was amazing- apple stuffed french toast, yogurt with granola, fruit, bacon, cheese grits - yum! We asked Joe to take some pictures of us and he took us all around the house for pictures. Wonderful stay - we're hoping to return for our anniversary!

The Kings Inn was one of our first experiences with a B&B and it has set a standard that will be hard to beat. Kristen and Joe were fun friendly and the essence of southern hospitality. We felt welcomed even before we arrived. The room we stayed at "Bridal Suite" exceeded our expectations. Kristan and Joe went out of their way to ensure we had a wonderful experience even though we were not here on a honeymoon. The breaksfasts were excellent and the show we attended 1920's themed murder mystery added to a great overall experience.

Lovely surroundings to view and walk through. Nicely decorated rooms to relax and unwind in. Excellent chef to be pampered with for breakfast. Hip and upbeat InnKeepers to have conversations and sip tea with. Excellent central location from which to explore Summerville. I found the kings inn b&b on this site. My wife and I were headed to Charleston for our anniversary. I was hesitant b/c of the drive to Charleston, but it was a terribly busy weekend in Charleston and the Kings Inn was the only thing available with a decent price. Kristen and Joe run a top notch inn. The inn has been tastefully renovated, very comfortable on the inside for relaxing, beautifully renovated gardens, extremely comfortable beds and a gourmet breakfast like non you have experienced. It was a great experience and I would recommend to anyone. Summerville is also a quaint little town with great shopping and some pretty tasty food as well.
