We decorate in November to have this spirit of the season bring joy to all who visit. Lots of specialty shops nearby as well as local wineries. Enjoy the Historic train ride along the Hiwassee....Sit around the the fireplace in your suite or in the Gathering Room and the warm hospitality at the Pinhook Plantation House Bed & Breakfast. This 200 year old B & B is surrounded by the beautiful scenery of the Hiwassee River and Cherokee National Forest. Guest comments include "Our first B&B experience and boy, did we choose right." A country living and Southern Living gem." Quaint villages for antiquing or nearby Chattanooga or Knoxville attractions will give you a lots to do during your stay with us. Whitewater rafting at the 1996 Olympic Site is a great place to spend an afternoon or just enjoy the hammock between the majestic magnolia trees or our rocking chair porches and balcony and view the changing leaves of Fall, the distant snowy mountain caps in Winter, the freshness of a Spring breeze and all the colors of Summer. Come and relax in our spacious Suites, with private baths. The original heart pine floors have been restored as they were so long ago and the hand-made brick fireplaces have gas-logs for those chilly, romantic evenings. the gathering room has a beautiful fireplace and breakfast may be served here or ensuite. Antiques and the restored floors are featured. Lots of help and maps of the area are available at your request.The Helen Suite is decorated in a beautiful green wallpaper with quilts, duvet cover, lots of pillows, a loveseat to snuggle by the gas log fireplace, large antique breadbox, rolltop desk, dining area for snacks, or your dinner, mini-fridge, ensuite bath with luxurious towels, and and antique dresser with vanity mirror. Fluffy robes for your comfort. So private, and near the common balony and front porch.
Pinhook sits high on a hill with views of the pastures across the river and rolling hills all around. Ponds are in view and the mountains in the distance are always a beautiful site. The beautiful new homes at the river edge only make it more inviting to come and stay for a visit or perhaps someday be a full time resident of our community. Pinhook is a special place to unwind and enjoy the 300 year old trees that stand majestically on the property.The view of the Cherokee Nation Forest and the Hiwassee River are breathtaking from the front porch and balcony.
Flickering candle lights and garland decorate the stairway to your beautiful suites with their fireplaces glowing. Our decorations will be done on or before Thanksgiving so that everyone has a chance to enjoy them on thier visit.
