I stumbled upon this fabulous 9,000 sp ft house in the Black Hills nestled in the trees. The owners, Christine & Hans, treat you like family. Every room has a theme and is beautifully decorated. I could have stayed for weeks.

My husband and I loved staying at this B&B. We stayed in one of the Pine View Rooms, which is cheaper. The room itself was clean & cute, with a nice little bathroom and sink area. Outside our room was a large, cozy living area that just makes you want to curl up with a good book, while looking out into the gorgeous South Dakota country. Guests also can play games, including Ping Pong (our favorite), or watch movies on the large screen TV in another living area, or sit on the back deck and take in the view. The breakfast was outstanding - delicious food just kept coming out of the kitchen in courses...We couldn't believe we got this value for such a low price compared to all the other B&Bs we looked at.

Christine and Hans Peter Streich graciously host guests in their beautiful Black Hills B&B. A mile off 385, 9 miles north of Hill City, the location is beautiful and peaceful.

We were delighted with the beauty, serenity, and quiet of our inn's location. Tall pines, green meadows, wildlife, cool, comfortable weather surrounded us. Our hosts, Christina and Hans-Peter were very friendly, hospitable, and eager to make our visit most enjoyable! They succeeded.

The website is definitely misleading on the type of room you are booking. The check in times are not defined on the paperwork. While driving to the property I called to notify Christine about our arrival and she promptly informed me that i had misunderstood the check in time. Once we arrived the room i booked was like a dorm room. I explained the website did not even have a picture of this room and she was very argumentative about the situation and not willing to negotiate. Once we decided to stay after an extended argument with her the rest of the stay was very nice. The breakfast was an amazing european style breakfast with several courses. Hanz Peter is absolutely amazing with his personality and upbeat attitude. Will not return.

We went for a long weekened and we wished we could have stayed there a month! The inners are really nice and the breakfast was fantastic. The place was full of snow and it must be wonderful at this time of the year

We stayed in two different rooms during our stay. The first one was very basic and crowded once we brought our bags in, but for the price was good. The second room was one of the rooms w/ a patio and hot tub and that one was much better. The breakfast was ok, but not what I have come to expect of B&Bs. The biggest issue I had was all the sheets/towels had a moldy smell that stuck to your skin all day. Overall it was a comfortable stay in a good location.

Christine and Hans were very friendly, we stayed in on of the smaller rooms that is available online, some larger rooms available by phone reservation only. Location is very private and not too far from main road, beautiful moonrise viewed from back deck. Quiet/peaceful at night. European style breakfast is neat but different from usual big American breakfast. We had granola, a quiche like dish, a smoothie, deli meats and swiss cheese and watermelon. My one issue was our towels smelled musty like they had been in the room awhile, probably should have asked for a different one but didn't so must not have been a truly big deal. Was able to see some of the larger suites while checking out the next day and they were pretty nice. Overall would stay here again but would try to get a larger suite. If you are looking for a peaceful experience that has a European flavor and some privacy (no other buildings in view from deck) then this is a good fit.

The hospitality of the innkeepers far exceeded what was expected. Was surprised by the size and excellence of the room, patio and hot tub. Would absolutely return and highly recommend to all.
