I always enjoy Queen Anne's. Thoughtful touches abound for your comfort. The restaurant voucher works well when you want a hot breakfast. The in-room basket is a fast, and private alternative which complies with the strict restrictions of the health department. Nice to have your coffee in the room!

Queen Anne's on the 7th was a beautiful old home. It was a very clean room and though they could not serve a cooked breakfast due to Coles Co. rules, they did provide gift certificate to local restaurant. We would definitely go back.

While all bedrooms are upstairs, they are well furnished with antiques as well as the latest electronics. Breakfast was quite filling. Many choices of drinks, coffees and teas. We have visited on several occasions. We will visit again.

I am part of a performing group that has to travel around the country quite a bit and in many cases we end up staying at your standard motel/hotel i.e. Hampton Inn, Days Inn, etc. On this trip we decided to do something different so we chose to stay at Queen Anne's on 7th. What a great decision this was. The owner Annette was very accommodating. Our flight wasn't supposed to arrive until late in the evening and we still needed to drive 2+ hours to get there. Annette said that she would make sure to still meet us at the door. This was a nice touch. My Group stayed in the room with a loft. I was worried when I first booked the room because it is always hard to tell if the pictures on the website are a good representation of the actual room. I am happy to say they were. This room fit my group (4 men) easily. We didn't feel cramped at all. The location was great. It is only a few blocks to the University and was less than a mile from the venue where we were singing. The town square was also easily within walking distance and there were many choices of places to eat there. Because of the strict regulations in the county where Queen Anne’s is located they are not able to prepare food for guests. However Annette has found a great way to still accommodate the needs of guests by providing either gift certificates to a local restaurant or providing a continental breakfast that you can eat in your room, on the deck, or somewhere on the grounds. Since we were there two mornings we were able to try both. The local restaurant was very close and very good. If you go there make sure to try the Strawberry Bread. The continental breakfast was also very well put together. Everything is arranged in baskets so that you can easily take it anywhere you want to eat. I would definitely recommend staying at Queen Anne’s if you are ever in Charleston Illinois. It would be great place for a romantic weekend, or if you just have business in the area. It is very comfortable and laid back.

This is a most beautiful and cared for home! Everything about it was so inviting, so comfortable. Our bathroom felt brand new, with a great shower and plenty of towels, and even a hair dryer in the vanity drawer. The owners are accomodating, warm, and friendly, and yet extremely respectful of our privacy. Attention to detail is commendable. We wished we had a longer stay. Lovely neighborhood, gorgeous property! Wonderful spring flowers welcomed us in the yard. Just beautiful! We couldn't have felt more welcome! Very peaceful, comfortable, restful!

My husband and I spent our 6th annversary there last night. It was really nice to just get away from the every day stuff we all go through. The house was very clean and the room was just perfect. Annette did offer us a breakfast basket but because of allergies we could not take it so instead she gave us coupons for What's Cookin. It wasn't overly warm but we did spend time on the patio. Once again, just nice to get away from living in a somewhat big city. Thanks Annette!!

We have stayed at the Queen Anne's on 7th numerous times since the 4 years our daughter was attending Eastern. The rooms were always clean, it was a nice atmosphere and Annette was always very accommdating. We always would use the coupons she gives out to a little place called What's Cookin since we would take our daughther out for breakfast. We never got to stay during the summer to use the pool but it looks like it would be very nice. Thank you Annette for all the kindness you have giving us over the last 4 years. Now that our daughter has graduated hopefully we can make it down there again some time.

This is a very pleasant place to stay. Close to EIU University, but in a quiet neighborhood. The owner is very friendly and accomodating. Cozy in cool weather. Nice complimentary breakfast. very comfortable.
