Queen Anne's On 7th Street Bed & Breakfast

This Queen Anne Victorian built in 1892 offers the joys of a wooded backyard and accompanying wildlife. A secluded swimming pool is set in this tranquility. The B&B is beautifully decorated with antiques of the era and offers a casual elegance for guest comfort. One of the rooms can accommodate up to four guests and has a whirlpool tub. The B&B is centrally located between Chicago, Indianapolis, and St. Louis and is walking distance to Eastern Illinois University, 10 min from I-57 and Lincoln Log Cabin, and 20 min to the Amish areas and Rockome Gardens. Many amenities are included in the room rate. Breakfast can be enjoyed on our numerous cozy patios as a 'basket' breakfast, eat in the guest room, in the dining room, kitchenettes, or by going to a restaurant just 4 blocks away and ordering from their menu. Guests love the flexibility allowed in their breakfast schedule and the privacy it gives. We accommodate many leisure travelers and business guests with privacy being our priority. In-house computer for guest access as well as broadband DSL dataports and WIFI in each room for guest's laptops. Each room has a TV/VCR. Video library available. Kitchenettes. All the conveniences of home and office.

Queen Anne's on the 7th was a beautiful old home. It was a very clean room and though they could not serve a cooked breakfast due to Coles Co. rules, they did provide gift certificate to local restaurant. We would definitely go back.

While all bedrooms are upstairs, they are well furnished with antiques as well as the latest electronics. Breakfast was quite filling. Many choices of drinks, coffees and teas. We have visited on several occasions. We will visit again.

We actually have a room on the main floor, The Ivory Room, available to guests that have difficulty with stairs. This is a very pleasant place to stay. Close to EIU University, but in a quiet neighborhood. The owner is very friendly and accomodating. Cozy in cool weather. Nice complimentary breakfast. very comfortable.
