Pam and John were welcoming, helpful and enjoyable to be around. They have remodeled the inside of the Inn, making it comfortable, clean and beautiful. It's very user-friendly with a guest fridge, snacks, tons of brand new movies, a computer with internet access and even a printer, and information on local restaurants with a phone to make reservations. The hot tub is incredible and if you're there in the winter, John will clear a little path for you to make your way down in your comfortable robe that they provide. The Big Creek Inn goes out of their way to make your vacation fun, stress-free, and forever memorable. We can't wait to return.

We stayed for four nights during our honeymoon in Yosemite. The first night, after finding that our chains didn't fit, John graciously offered to drive us to the nearest restaurant and picked us up after our dinner. The second day, Pam and John let us use their extra chains (so that we didn't have to spend $100 at the nearest place to get chains, or to drive 7 miles into the town to get them), and John graciously put the chains on our car while we were having our breakfast. Pam and John helped us in developing our itinerary upon our visit to Yosemite National Park. After returning to our room at the end of each day, we were surprised by the level of hospitality Pam provided. For instance, after leaving a bottle of wine (half left) on a table in our bedroom, we found two wine glasses waiting for us when we returned. Also, after using our plastic containers underneath our candles that we brought, we found paper plates replaced under each of the candles. We also noticed the level to which Pam and John were environmentally conscious. It was very nice while visiting the national park to stay at a place where the environment and sustainability are valued. Throughout our visit, it was evident that Pam and John simply cared about us having a good time. And we did! "Don't worry, it's your honeymoon." --- it was our theme. We would love to go back to the Big Creek Inn whenever possible. And it's definitely recommended to our friends and families.

We spent our anniversary here this winter and the innkeepers, Pam and John, were friendly and helpful. The location is beautiful and the location, a mile from the southern entrance to Yosemite, is ideal. The rooms come stocked with amenities (loved the shoe warmers). The library has everything you need to plan amazing times in and around Yosemite and is stocked with almost any movie you can think of. Best of all, John even helped me with my snow chains. We will come back again!

From the moment my wife and I checked in, we experienced nothing but helpfulness and a warm welcome. Our bags were carried upstairs to our room before we even requested help. The room was clean and inviting. Breakfast each morning of the three we were there was sufficient, and accompanied with interesting conversation with the hosts and other guests. The hosts were very helpful with suggestions of what to see, where to eat other meals, etc. I even received help with an obstreporous computer. All in all, an excellent experience. Would we return? Absolutely.

After being stuck in San Francisco traffic and taking over 3 hrs just to travel 50km, arriving at Big Creek Inn was like arriving at the gates of heaven. What a beautiful setting and so close to the entrance to the park. Pam and John, our hosts were delightful, the breakfast was lovely also and the beds were devine!! It was very peaceful and relaxing and just what was needed after a hectic holiday schedule. If I ever get the chance for a return visit, I would certainly stay here again!!

The week after 4th of July my friend and I stayed in the Merced room (for 4 nights) with two beds and were really impressed with the modern decor and touches. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable and the bathroom was like a spa bathroom - brand new features with several nice personal touches. There was a big sunken tub and the shower had a spa showerhead. The bathroom sink cabinetry had plenty of room with lots of drawer space for both of our toiletries (two girls!). Everything was extremely clean. There was also great internet access right outside our bedroom door. The movie selection was better than a Blockbuster, you would be hard pressed to think of a movie that you wanted to watch that wasn't there. We used the spa one night after a hard day of hiking - and it was just what we needed to soothe our aching muscles. The spa robes they provide came in handy. Pam's knowledge of the park helped us to make the most of our time in Yosemite. She recommended the most spectacular jaw-dropping hikes and itineraries each day. There were also trail books in our room that we were allowed to take. You don't even need to reasearch the park before you go or buy a guidebook. By following Pam's suggestions you can still feel like you had a full trip and made the best of your time. She even had this awesome chilled backpack that she let us take each day to keep our lunches cool. If you are worried about staying outside the park and having to drive in and out every day...I would say the trade off is more than worth it. After hiking all day - it's no big deal to sit in a car for an hour and enjoy the ride back to Big Creek. At the end of the ride, you have a hot tub, a nice hot shower and a comfy bed to come home to - you can even watch a movie. Compare this to walking back to your campsite and having to get in your sleeping bag with no shower and mosquito repellant smell all over you! No thanks! I'll take the drive back to the B&B!

Perfect in every way, we found the Big Creek Inn to be the ideal lodging for Yosemite. Its location near the south end of the park was ideal for the beautiful sites there (Mariposa Grove, Chilnualna Falls, Wawona) and also allowed for easy side trips to Bass Lake and other parts of the Sierra Nevada National Forest. The drive to the valley and Glacier Point was very enjoyable and allowed us to take in the scenery in a leisurely way. We made the trip four times and never tired of it. The breakfasts were perfect for a day of hiking and when we returned the comforts of the inn were absolutely perfect. Above all, the hospitality and advice of Pam the Innkeeper were outstanding in every way. We followed to the letter her suggestions for seeing the park and were thrilled. Our highest recommendation for this lodging.

What a wonderful Bed and Breakfast experience! We stayed in the King Suite, which overlooked the creek and provided a beautiful view of the property and the various wildlife. The accomodations were immaculate, as well as spacious, and we found we were in want of nothing! There were even snacks and beverages available 24 hrs. a day, and a fresh pot of coffee every morning ~ just outside our room! Pamela and John were extremely hospitable and very knowledgable of the area. Big Creek Inn is located within minutes of Yosemite, so we really appreciated the convenience. After a long day in the park, we looked forward to returning to the Inn for rest and relaxation! We would definitely stay here on our next trip to the Yosemite area, and would highly recommend it to other travelers.

Michael and I left the Big Creek Inn this morning after a two-day visit. We had an incredible experience during our stay. This is a place you could hang out in all day because of the warm hospitality, the welcoming environment, and the joy of staying in a place where it's obvious that attention has been given to every detail. We brought a lot of things we didn't need because Pam and John took care of it for us; from snacks, beverages, a huge DVD and video collection, internet access -- name it, they've thought of it. Pam had ice waiting for us in the evenings and a fresh pot of of coffee waiting for us each morning. I feel that we have just visited a friend who happens to be the ultimate in hospitality. I feel fortunate that we chose the Big Creek Inn. I want to go back and stay longer. I highly recommend the Big Creek Inn to anyone traveling to the area. Brooke Frances

I can't image a better place to stay. Very close to the entrance to Yosemite. Very upscale, organized, clean, all in a beautiful peaceful setting. Things I liked most: the well-stocked (tiny) store just down the road, the view of the nearby stream and deer, the layout of the rooms and amenities, and most of all the owner Pamela who is super friendly and knowledgeable regarding the park. Take her advice. Had two rooms, one for my teenage daughters. They loved the place as much as Yosemite.

We were truly impressed by the attention to detail. The perfect oasis after a long, hard day of hiking and climbing. The service is fantastic: Pamela offered us valuable tips on our day's hike and made us a "to go" breakfast on the morning we hiked Half Dome. All around, this Inn exceeded our expectations. Next time, we'll take advantage of the gorgeous outdoor set-up with the hot tub under the stars.

Our four day stay was exceptonal. The Mariposa Room is elegantly furnished. The veranda offered a spendid views of the creek and wildlife. What can I say about the excellent breakfast each morning. The innkeeper was very helpful in directing us to great views of Yosemite and dining locations. We had a marvelous time.

We just returned from a much to short visit to Yosemite. We stayed here at Big Creek Inn by choice. It is an hour drive to the main part of Yosemite but the drive brings you by all the wonderful places to visit inside Yosemite (Glacier point, the giant sequoias, El Capitan, the views of all the falls, so the drive is nothing when one takes that into consideration. Plus leaving in the morning for this drive and returning in the afternoon gives you a chance to experience the different light that Yosemite is famous for if you like to photograph. Our host gave us a wonderful homemade breakfast. The rooms were oh so clean. Lots of light in the windows. The bathrooms had thick, big towels and packets of mosquito towelettes and spf 15 chapstick. When we return, we willdefinitely go back. I give the one of the best ratings of a b&b.
