Everyone that I asked said " Stay at the Holiday Inn". I didnt want to stay in a place like that if I could help it. I wanted something different, something more exciting. My friend and I both love old houses and architecture, so the Victorian seemed perfect. The pricing seemed comparable to the Holiday Inn, so we went for the Victorian. I am not the best with directions, so I called before I left my house to double-check where I was headed. Becky, the innkeeper, was warm and extremely helpful and gave me perfect directions to the house, saying to call at any time. When we arrived, the place was even prettier than in the pictures! It was just gorgeous. Becky was warm and friendly and the room was just beautiful. The bed was super-comfy, with the softest sheets I'd ever felt! The room was very spacious, with a living area with couches and chairs and a big TV, and the bedroom had french doors that went out to its own little porch area where you could sit and relax.
The shower was heavenly, and everything was very clean. There were lots of towels, soaps, etc. It even had a bathtub to soak in.
We didnt get up early enough for breakfast, but the menu looked good and the dining area was gorgeous.
We went to a concert not far away, and Becky gave us printed out directions to the place, which also included the phone number, once again saying that we could call at any time.
The location was great too, since the main street was a short walk to enjoy the night-life as we did some bar-hopping and walked around town. There is a wonderful old cemetery nearby also, if you enjoy historical sites.
Dave, becky's husband, was alos wonderful and gave us perfect directions home.
The lighting was also phenominal as it showed off the stained glass...just a beautiful and a very comfortable place to stay.
