A Room at the Top
The beauty of the outdoors meets the comfort of the indoors in the 16' by 25' space with windows all across the front, large skylights in the cathedral ceiling, and French doors to a private balcony in the trees. The entrance is separate from the main house. There is a queen-size bed; full bookshelves, several chairs and sofas invite work or lounging. The quiet house and historic conservation neighborhood are a few minutes' walk from restaurants, shops, transportation, Harvard Square.
For breakfast, we usually place a basket of baked goods and fresh fruit outside the room each morning. The fridge in the room is stocked with milk, juice, butter, and jam. We replenish as needed. A shelf is stocked with coffee and tea. If guests would prefer something different, we welcome requests and try to accommodate all tastes.
