Villa La Sosta

"Villa La Sosta" is situated in the most charming residential area around Florence. It is surrounded by large gardens with cypress and fruit trees; the building itself is elegant and sober, enriched by architectural elements recalling the eclectic style of the beginning of the 1900s, like the main bow-window entrance and the tower-mansard which gives a view of the surrounding hillside. Fantoni brother and sister, have decided to use a part of this family villa, which dates back to the end of the nineteenth century, as a high class Bed and Breakfast. They offer three double rooms, a triple room, a quadruple room (family room) all with private bathrooms, bright and quiet, some of these furnished with period pieces from the 1800s. Independent entrance. The continental breakfast is served in the spacious and elegant hall in colder months and in the garden, under an ivy pergola, in the summer. There is also a billiard room and a suggestive and panoramic windowed attic where guests can relax, read, play cards, watch television or listen to music. Guests can also make use of an internet service (adsl 24 hours) inside the house. Private car park is available inside the grounds. Bookings for the Uffizi Gallery, Accademy Gallery and Palatina Gallery made free of charge. Informed suggestions on what to see and do in and around Florence. Perfect place. Really interesting Villa. Clean and comfortable. Toni could not have done enough for us. Across the road from NYU's La Pietra where our daughter is studying for the year. Really a true Italian experience.

This is the tower-mansard where you can relax and meet all our guests. This windowed attic gives you a breth-taking view of the surrounding hillside. You have at your disposal the satellite tevision, hi-fi stereo, card table, chess table and our library with books in English language.This is "Giusy" room (the romantic room): 2 persons (1 double bed) It's situated on the first floor with independent entrance and is furnished with nice 1800s furniture, it is comfortable, refined and brightened by one large window. The room has private bathroom, private balcony with a delightful view of the surrounding hillside. An elevator, situated outside of the room, takes you to the tower-mansard.
This is "Olimpia" room: 4 persons (1 double bed + 2 single beds) It's situated on the first floor with independent entrance and is furnished with nice modern furniture, it is comfortable, refined and brightened by one large window. The room has private bathroom and a delightful view of the garden. An elevator, situated outside of the room, takes you to the tower-mansard.This is our "parents" room: 2 persons (1 double bed) It's situated on the first floor with independent entrance and is furnished with nice 1800s furniture, it is comfortable, refined and brightened by one large window. This is the breakfast room furnished with pieces of 1800s: We serve coffee, tea, hot milk, cold milk, brioches, plum cakes, chocolate, cheeses, various kind of ham, biscuits, crackers, bread for toast, butter and we also serve a glutin-free breakfast.The continental breakfast is served in the garden, under this ivy pergola, during the spring and the summer
The billiard-room: The room is situated on the left after five metres from the main entrance. You can play billiards with American and Italian bowls.A delightful view of Chianti Classico region. We are glad to arrange for our guests a "Family day in the wine country". Visit of historic places, vineyards and cellars with possibility to taste fantastic wines.
