Their cozy and beautiful home truly felt like our home away from home for the week. With our infant daughter, we know a hotel just wouldn't cut it. Their B & B surely exceeded our expectations as our home base for exploring Cleveland. This B & B is truly unique. We loved having the extra amenities upstairs with us - fresh coffee immediately when we awoke, cold, filtered water, a 'fridge to store our food, and a cozy living room to read stories and play with our baby. The suite includes a fabulous library of children's books, fiction, humor, Cleveland history, philosophy, antique books, and just about anything else you would like to peruse. We also loved the armada of rubber ducks. Last, but surely not least, breakfast was always tasty and wonderful, not to mention healthy. It is so nice to stay in a place that matches many of our own values for the environment and people. We will be sure to stay there again if we are ever in Cleveland and we highly recommend this bed and breakfast. View Reviewer Info

The innkeepers at Glendennis are lovely people, charming, and courteous, but keep in mind that this inn is also their home. The guest suite is on the third floor, and the flight of stairs from the 2nd to the 3rd levels is sturdy but steep and not the easiest to navigate if you have any mobility issues or are carrying large/heavy luggage. The home is beautiful and clean. Breakfasts are served at an agreed upon time, and are tasty and nutritious. The "suite," as mentioned previously does have ample space...however, there is not a door to shut it off at the top of the stairway, so you kind-of feel open to the other noises (very few) of the house, and if you are a newlywed couple (or a frisky long-wed couple) you might find it does not afford the sound insulation you desire. The bathroom is on the second floor of the home, so if you need to use it in the middle of the night, you again have to negotiate the steep stairway...and the bathroom (with louvered doors) is off of a common area where the family uses the computer, so you may find it is not the level of privacy you are accustomed to. The neighborhood is lovely, "Ohio City," and you will find plenty of tasty food nearby within walking distance...as well as the West Side Market and The Great Lakes Brewing Company. You could spend an entire weekend just exploring this neighborhood and its food! The innkeepers, as previously mentioned, are very nice and offer wonderful advice on places to dine/visit in the area. Overall, a good value and location, and excellent for hospitality...just know what to expect. View Reviewer Info

| Innkeeper Response |
We appreciate the reviewers overall positive review but we are disappointed in some of the comments. Firstly, we are surprised that he does not realize that the owner of the bed and breakfast usually lives on the premises. This is the situation at most of the B&B's we have stayed at. This is especially the norm in Europe. Secondly, the suite occupies the complete third floor of the house. The staircase is at the back and the bedroom is at the front. Our portion of the house is separated by two staircases and a door before you even enter the suite. In seven years of operation we have never had a complaint about lack of privacy. We also have never overheard any "frisky" couples, newlywed or long-wed. The privacy and sound insulation are much better than what you would find in a hotel. Thirdly, as a rule we do not use the office or computer when guests are in the suite, and the office and computer are now being moved totally away from the B&B portion of the house. Lastly, I don't understand why the reviewer rated the rooms "below average". His review does not justify that rating, the rooms are spacious and well appointed.
